Dr Melissa Formica’s main research interest is the prevention of cognitive decline in older age, particularly after surgery. She is also currently completing her master’s degree and training to become qualified as a psychologist.

Dr Roy Hardman has a PhD from the Faculty of Health, Arts & Design at Swinburne University of Technology within the Centre for Human Psychopharmacology Melbourne Australia.
Both Doctors have a passion for the cause of educating children and improving brain function and health. This book is a passionate journey for their purpose in educating children.

YOU MAY THINK JOE FROM SCHOOL IS YOUR BEST FRIEND.
Or your puppy is your best friend.

But I’ll let you in on a little secret.

It is your brain that is the very best friend that you will ever have.

And what a great friend your brain is.

In this book you will learn all about how to keep your best friend happy and healthy.

‘My Brain is my Best Friend’ is designed to teach children the importance of maintaining a healthy brain while still getting to enjoy all the great things of being a child.

We know that healthy brain development is key to optimal cognitive functioning later in life. This book teaches children ways they can help keep their brain healthy.

“A great book for young children and parents alike who value the knowledge and empowerment of having a healthy and active life…a well versed and entertaining way of teaching children…great work…” Dorothy, Indiebook reviewer
