All About Guitar Teaching - Caleb Lavery-Brook
Dr. Nick Parnell talks with guitarist Caleb Lavery-Brook (2023 SA Best Music Educator Nominee) all about Guitar Teaching.
Caleb completed his Master of Philosophy in Music at the Elder Conservatorium of Music in 2021 and has also undertaken a Mentorship with ARIA award winning guitarist Slava Grigoryan. As a performer he has played at festivals including the Daegu International Guitar Festival in South Korea and the Adelaide Guitar Festival.
As an avid educator, Caleb holds teaching roles at Adelaide Universities’, Elder Conservatorium Open Music Academy and is the Artistic Director, Conductor and Tutor for the South Australian Youth Guitar Ensemble which, as a testament to his efforts was nominated in the SA Music Awards as ‘Best Music Educator’ in 2023.
