  3. But back to the main content, today we are doing another dig in our alien files as we talk about Elizabeth Klarer, a woman who wrote a book and spent the majority of her life claiming to have experienced getting probed by an alien in quite the different manner than you would expect.
  4.  The sun had just gone down on seven year old Elizabeth and her older sister Barbara as they were tending to their puppies outside their farmhouse in Mooi River, Natal. The girls lived on a vast property in an affluent household where their father bred horses and had a retinue of staff. Even their puppies were a rare breed called Sealyham Terriers. A storm had just passed through and the air was clear and crisp. The sound of guinea fowl filled the air until they abruptly grew eerily still. Unsettled by the sudden silence of the local fauna, Elizabeth and her sister turned out towards the land to investigate. What they saw would stick with them for the rest of their lives.
  5. A massive disk made of silvery metal came shooting towards them out of the night sky surrounded by a bright pearlescent light. The girls were frozen in wonder as the sight terrified their puppies and sent them running. Looking past the mysterious ship, they saw a huge orange-red sphere, glowing with light and rotating slowly as it tumbled out of the sky towards them resembling a meteor. It streaked through the atmosphere on a straight path to impact the earth and crush the girls where they stood. The ship suddenly whipped up and ran to the planet-like structure, herding it up and away until it changed paths and headed north, leaving a trail of smoke in its wake.
  6. Elizabeth and Barbara went racing to their house to report what they’d seen where their father dismissed it as possibly a meteor. Little Elizabeth however was insistent that this was something more and that the silver ship had saved earth.
  7. This was the first interaction with aliens that Elizabeth Klarer would claim to have. Although at times, she would also claim an earlier incident at age three.
  8. Only months after this first sighting, the spaceship would return. Sitting outside while the Zulu farm manager, Ladam, told her of the legends of his people, Elizabeth suddenly saw the sun dim and the sky filled with a great black cloud that zapped with lightning. As the cloud came closer, the pair saw that within it glowed the same silver disk that had saved her from the meteor. The cloud began to morph into a tornado and began a destructive path towards her house in the Natal valley.
  9. She recalls looking back towards the house and seeing her mothers face looking through the window watching the tornado and the ship get closer and closer; however at the last possible moment, the tunnel raised and lifted right over them and their home before continuing on in its path of carnage.
  10. Ladam told Elizabeth that they must have just witnessed the heaven dwellers and their silver scaled lightning bird who had come down to save the farm as according to Zulu legend.
  11. As Elizabeth grew, the memories of that amazing spaceship that had saved her not once but twice continued to follow her. She reported looking into the sky and hoping to glimpse it again.
  12. She would graduate from St. Anne’s Diocesan College in Pietermaritzburg before moving to Florence, Italy to study Art and Music. However, her interest in the atmosphere never wavered and she would obtain a four year diploma in meteorology from Girton College in Cambridge.
  13. Like most women in her era, the next steps after graduation was marriage and family life and she soon settled down with a husband and gave birth to her first child. Her husband noticed her constant stargazing and to calm her restlessness, taught her how to fly a Tiger Moth biplane. She admitted that whenever she would take that plane up into the skies, she would spend the time still searching for any signs of the silver disc she saw in childhood.
  14. In 1937. Elizabeth was flying in a DH Leopard Moth with her husband from Durban to Baragwanath when she suddenly felt a strange energy in the air. Suddenly, the pair saw another aircraft flying to the east of theirs. She described it as blue-white, pulsing, and heading straight for them at incredible speeds. As it reached them, it suddenly changed color to a brassy yellow and kept pace with their plane. Elizabeth noted that it had three portholes and seemed to be making no noise. Suddenly, the ship flipped on its side like a wheel and spun away in an intense flash of light.
  15. Elizabeth felt that the strange ship had thoroughly examined them and reported feeling a great sense of loneliness when the ship departed. When the couple landed, Elizabeth's husband reported on the strange craft to the Air Force Headquarters in Pretoria.
  16. The couple were interviewed but Elizabeth remained completely silent as she felt they would not understand her feelings. She said, “Military men were unable to cope with such thoughts as mine, but I knew without a shadow of a doubt that here was something new, something to break all the rules, something outside the realm of ordinary”.
  17. Soon after, her husband moved the couple to England where they became part of the De Havilland Experimental Flight Center. Elizabeth hated England however with its constant overcast skies and longed to return to her home country. She was especially worried about the upcoming war. Elizabeth had long believed in telepathetic powers and premonitions and nurtured these abilities in herself.
  18. She claims to have been approached by someone called “The Chief” who asked her to conduct research into UFO’s for the purpose of quote “help and guidance to the sorely afflicted peoples of the planet who seem unable to live in peace and harmony”.
  19. Now, much of what I’m telling you is taken from Elizabeth Klarer’s Autobiography titled “Beyond the Light Barrier”. Unfortunately, as she wrote it, she included as little and as much detail as she wanted. She gave no other identifier to who “The Chief '' was and I can find no further documentation on him but it was noted that she held a responsible position in RAF intelligence during World War II.
  20. Elizabeth and her husband were transferred back home to South Africa and she once again received orders from “The Chief” to find the spaceship at all cost and save the planet and the human race. She reports preparing herself to speak to these otherworldly visitors and did so by practicing telepathy with horses, dogs, cats, plants, machines, and anything with quote “a spark of life”.
  21. Eventually through her practice she was able to link up telepathically with the man in the space ship. She came to know his name but was unable to speak to him directly. His name was Akon.
  22. On her return to Cape Town, she and her husband were involved in a tanker explosion at an airplane hangar which she miraculously survived and she received a vision of what she believed to be the far away planet that Akon lived on. After leaving the hospital, she joined her sister, May, in her farmhouse and spent several days in meditation trying to reach out for her spaceman.
  23. Her sister was making tea in the kitchen when Elizabeth reports suddenly being teleported up through the ceiling telepathically and being pulled through the clouds. There two spaceships hovered and she was directed to Akon’s spaceship. She reports feeling a bond of affinity and love with Akon who telepathically communicated information about his way of life and his people.
  24. When the time was right, she would go into the mountains and I want to quote this word from word from her book as she describes it
    1. “The Amazulu called to me from the mountain-tops, their voices echoing through the valley, turning into the grapevine of their own method of communication. They told of the great wagon of the sky and the fiery visitors from the heaven country, who would come to take me away in the lightning bird whose scales glitter in many colors. It would land in a cloud upon a hill and there would be a meeting together. The storm doctor and witch had foretold this and the legend had grown around me since I was a child. “The golden hair of your head will bring the Abelungu from the sky” they called across the valley as I listened to their descriptive language, understanding it as well as my own “You are the one who brings together” ‘Inkosazana! The heaven dwellers will come and take you away from us”
  25. Look there is one thing you can’t claim Elizabeth Klarer didn’t have and that was this full bodied belief that she was special. So so very special.
  26. Anyway,
  27.  This time she is referencing seemed to be on December 27, 1954 when she visited the hilltop known as Flying Saucer Hill. The clouds parted revealing Akon’s ship and through the portholes, she finally laid eyes upon her spaceman. She describes him as compelling and hypnotic, watching her with his arms folded across his chest. She noted that he had the most wonderful face she had ever seen and that she was filled with a sense of affinity and love.
  28. Listen, I know she has a husband, I read the book, she doesn't mention him again after the explosion and apparently he was playing second fiddle to Akon the spaceman for a long time.
  29. She described his smile and how it made her heart skip a beat. There is a picture in the book which I will post to social media.
  30. After their romantic staring match, the saucer rose up and shot up into the sky. And Elizabeth talked about closing her eyes and sighing in complete happiness as she felt the presence of Akon in her mind compelling her to be aware and allow him to control her thoughts and actions so that she could join him soon.
  31. Months would pass before she would again feel the presence of Akon calling out to her and know he was returning for her.
  32. On April 7th, 1956, she rushed back to the hilltop. There Akon was waiting for her in his spaceship and they embraced in a passage that is straight out of a Nicholas Sparks novel. She described meeting another man in this ship who was the pilot and how the inside of his craft was luxurious and otherworldly.
  33. She described Akon as tall but older with a strong and lithe body. Strikingly handsome and with a force of character, he had long and straight hair that was a golden color and he wore a close fitting jumpsuit. Akon tells her some about himself such as that he is a Venusian and that they are headed back to the mothership where she will be a guest of honor.
  34. Listen, she describes in great detail their flirting and it's…something. But the basics of it is that Akon basically confesses his love to her and compliments her constantly.
  35. Constantly
  36. Omg constantly
  37. And they also kiss.
  38. Its…something
  39. He then tells her that Venusians sometimes mate with human women and then keep the offsprings as it strengthens their bloodline and that seems to be where this exchange is heading towards.
  40. The aliens have come to bump uglies with the humans to strengthen their genetic family trees.
  41. The happy couple continue on towards the mothership where Elizabeth for a moment remembers that she has children and others on earth but Akon assures her that quote “I know what is best for you and will always look after you, my beloved”.
  42. Look I had to read this novel and I suffered for you. Appreciate me. You don’t know how much of Elizabeth’s ego is in these pages. She literally talks about an entire race of people singing songs and worshiping her because she’s a blonde. I'm pretty sure her husband died in that explosion and she just stopped talking about him. Like my god, girl.
  43. When they reach the mothership, Elizabeth is further made extra special by being declared to be a reincarnated Venusian because of her quote “slant eyes and golden hair”. The Venusians of course begin to celebrate her, because everybody does, before Akon whisks her away to a luxurious suite where she is enchanted by his identical brother and treated like a queen.
  44. I could be wrong but it was hinted at in the book that Elizabeth may have been making eyes at this attractive twin brother who also found her to be delectable. Get your bag sis.
  45. They begin to educate her on their technology and ways as they have decided she is the perfect person to bring new blood into their genetic line.
  46. There is also a whole section on the scientific power of Love.
  47. Honestly, the whole time I’m reading this I kept being like, what about your kids and your family and your maybe not dead husband who you are very much not being faithful to right now?
  48. But I guess she is the chosen one.
  49. The tour completes and it is time for Elizabeth to return home. She is sad to go but is reassured by the Venusians that they mate for life and Akon will return for her soon. Apparently the Sun's rays were damaging for them and they could not stay near earth for long before returning to their home planet near Alpha Centauri. Akon returned Elizabeth to Flying Saucer Hill, gave her a kiss, and left.
  50. Elizabeth eagerly reported the whole affair not only to her sister and her household but also to “the chief”. He immediately flew out to South Africa and accompanied by Elizabeth utilized an Air Force Harvard to search the skies for more signs of Akon. This apparently drew the attention of many outsiders and the Flying Saucer Hill became inundated by others looking to spot the sight of visitors from other worlds. “The Chief” found nothing, advised Elizabeth to wait it out, and returned to england.
  51. Elizabeth returned to Johnanesburg where she was flocked to by UFO enthusiasts. Her story was published in Flying Saucer Review in the Nov-December issue in 1956. This brought her to the attention of both the public and the government. However, Elizabeth thought very lowly of these people and would not speak to them. She then claims to be threatened  with abduction, not of the alien variety, if she does not hand over her scientific evidence of her time with Akon.
  52. She received threatening phone calls and letters but was given police protection.
  53. However, she did make a friend from this. Edith Nicolasien saw Elizabeth’s story and contacted her via letter. The two exchanged postage from 1956 to 1976 and Edith would later publish the full story in a small booklet in 1959 with a second edition appearing in 1967.
  54. Akon would return for her in April 1958. After a UFO sighting over Johannesburg, Elizabeth would suddenly be filled with a feeling to return to Flying Saucer Hill and knew that that meant Akon was coming back. Packing up her son in her MG car, she returned to her sister's home in the midst of a storm and informed her and her husband of what was happening.
  55. And you may think I am over exaggerating how she wrote about Akon but let me read you the passage about their reunion straight from her book
  56. “Akon buried his face in my hair, whispering, “My beloved. My very own, my life, my precious woman. The seas of space will never part us, as our thoughts are forever united in the far distance of the sky. We are given this privilege of life, this electric essence to fuse and become one in the everlasting cycle of light. Our love is the divine essence of life, whereby the soul awakens to knowledge in the higher spheres. The universe sanctions our union”
  57. Yeah
  58. You see what I mean.
  59. I don’t even get paid for this.
  60. So Elizabeth and her knight in shining tin foil are reunited. Then as they embrace, military helicopters descend on them but Akon is able to cloak his ship in an invisibility screen and out maneuver them out of danger and return to Elizabeth’s home where he glides, not walks he’s floating according to her, over the door step like a newlywed. He then kisses her sister on the cheek and promises that she too will join them soon as she is “too frail and gentle for this world”. Spoiler alert, she doesn’t, she dies later on earth.
  61. Guys I really try to be open and accepting of experiences. I try to be neutral at worst but my god, I am struggling to keep any kind of professionalism with her story. If you told me this to my face I would call you a liar.
  62. Akon placed another kiss upon Elizabeth before returning to his ship and departing.
  63. However, not long after he left, the military helicopters that had been chasing his ship show up at the house and the family is interrogated by government officials. While the family did not deny that an alien had been there, they insisted he was just one of them and nothing to worry about.
  64. The government officials, according to Elizabeth, seemed to accept this and depart with little to no fuss.
  65. Akon returned the next day and retrieved Elizabeth as she lay stretched out in a sunny patch of grass. He even brought her little dog onto his spaceship with her and fed it a fig. The dog apparently became just as devoted to the alien as the owner.
  66. Sensing military officials nearby, Akon spirited her away to Cathkin Peak so they would not be bothered. Elizabeth bathed on the ship and was dressed in new luxurious robes. Akon then presented her with a ring made of beaten silver and green enamel with a great stone of light in the middle. It was too large but she wore it on her middle finger.
  67. Then he took her to bed. Here, do you want another passage from her book?
    1. “I surrendered in ecstasy to the magic of his love making. Our bodies merged in magnetic union as the divine essence of our spirits became one and in doing so I became whole”
  68. That’s right. Elizabeth and Akon got down and dirty in the space ship. They made the beast with two backs. They had amorous congress. Horizontal refreshment. Made whoopee. Groped for trout in a peculiar river. Whatever fun way you wanna say it. And that i can say it without having to flag this episode.
  69. And boy does she go into description. Not of the act, but of like the feeling of power you get from it. The eternal magic of love. The feeling of being bonded to your cosmic soulmate and the rejoicing of the stars and the earth.
  70. After the pair have knocked boots, akon fixes her hair and dresses her in a long flowing gown. He then speaks to her on the differences between human and alien love making. It should be noted that throughout the book several times both Akon, Elizabeth, and others mention how violent humans are, how aggressive and destructive humanity is and that only the pure of heart and open minded, like the venusians, can really understand truth and light.
  71. The pair ate and spoke and even socialized with the pilot of the vessel before returning to their cabin to continue exploring the hidden valley together.
  72. Don’t worry, I won’t run out of these.
  73. Once the pair had tumbled in the hay enough, Akon returned Elizabeth and her little dog to her home, promising to return and collect her once his son was born.
  74. Sending some of her human children away to boarding schools, Elizabeth settled into her sister's home to wait out the pregnancy and birth of her alien-human hybrid child. Elizabeth however reports that she was constantly tracked and watched by governments and militaries who wanted to kidnap her and her unborn child and she could not even leave the house for fear of it.
  75. Suddenly one morning, she heard in her mind Akon's voice telling her to return to the peak where her child was conceived and go into hiding.
  76. Saddling up a horse, she rode up the mountainside with her son David, this was a human child, and hid away in a hostel there. She felt at peace again and enjoyed laying out in the grass. She wrote of feeling that she must have been planted here as she did not look like her sister and she was so attuned to the unnatural.
  77. One morning she awoke and following a feeling within her, saddled the horses and with the help of David and a groom continued higher up the peak. There she once again encountered Akon and was gathered in his arms. It seems it was just a quick visit as he left shortly after with the reassurance that she will know when and where to wait for him.
  78. Now this is where the story devolves even more and honestly becomes hard to follow. Elizabeth begins to go back into the mountain before she is assailed by a different spaceship where cosmonauts descend and attack her and her horse with what she identifies as a “death ray”.
  79. This being speaks with an english accent and it’s actually difficult to tell if it is an alien or a human in a spaceship but they demand to speak to Akon and will keep Elizabeth captive until they can. It is very sci-fi movie marathon.
  80. And if you are wondering what is happening with David and the groom through this whole ordeal, I don’t know. She just stops talking about them. Again.
  81. She describes him as a very Handsome man and calls him “The Russian” at points. She describes him in detail and says that he has kind eyes and is reasonable and understanding.
  82. Even her villains are nice to her.
  83. He tells her his mission was to capture her and that he will then take her back to Moscow where her child will be delivered in a special clinic before being raised to be a great scientist and she will work for them in space research.
  84. He repeatedly calls her a prize, whilst praising her, tells her all information without any hesitance, and even says if she escapes Russia will invade the country to get her.
  85.  Because she is so special.
  86. So very very special.
  87. Her groom then showed up and Elizabeth was able to disarm the cosmonaut by having him make them tea.
  88. I’m not joking, that is literally what she did.
  89. They then escaped the Russian on horseback and go through a fantastical adventure of hiding in caves an outwitting not only the russians but also an Air Force jet that has shown up, surviving a sudden storm in a hut, and then David shows back up in time to make everyone delicious stew.
  90. Listen, I did my best to follow along.
  91. At some point, they make it back to the hostel where they sleep in straw before Akon telepathically informs Elizabeth that it is safe to return to the farm.
  92. Far be it from me to question anyone's relationship but Akon doesn't seem to be doing the best job at keeping his “soul mate” and unborn baby the safest right now.
  93. They return to the farm and the sisters house and there is a whole section of the book where she goes off on a tangent about her sister's missing dog who was supposedly killed for ritual purposes but then this is somehow twisted into an attempt to siphon Akon’s power through the dog. Which leads to everyone becoming concerned and scared for Elizabeth but she assures them that Akon will come and her son will not be born on this planet.
  94. In 1959, Elizabeth felt the need to go up the mountain again and left David in the care of her sister. Akon came once again to collect her for it was time for the child to be born. Taking not just Elizabeth but her car, Akon transported Elizabeth in his ship to Alpha Centauri and his home planet of Meton. Akon took her to his home there and Elizabeth included a picture of it in the book and its kind of egg shaped. I’ll post a picture of it on social media so you can see it.
  95. At this point, Elizabeth goes into descriptions of how wonderful her new home is, and how much everyone loves her there, and how much she and Akon love each other.
  96. Big ole love fest on Meton in the egg house.
  97. Elizabeth confesses she wants to stay forever but is told that will not be possible. Human bodies cannot acclimate to Meton’s climate so she will only be able to remain for a little while after the child is born.
  98. With a labor that was pain free and comfortable, Elizabeth gave birth to a son with golden hair. They named the child Ayling. Ayling grew quickly and according to Elizabeth never fretted or cried as Earth babies do.
  99. Elizabeth would stay with Akon and Ayling on Meton for four months however to her it would feel as though nine years had passed. When she had to return to earth as her heart was not strong enough to remain on the planet with her soulmate and son, she was told they would visit her often. At one point she even photographed Akon’s ship with a brownie camera. I’ll also include those pictures.
  100. Elizabeth would return to the farm and stay there until the death of her sister and brother in law before returning to Johannesburg. Then she would work in a book store but found that she hated city life. She was never shy about what had happened between her and her extraterrestrial lover and talked openly.
  101. Although she had appeared in various newspapers and magazines with her story over the years, from 1960 to 1966, Elizabeth began working on the manuscript for her book. She was very adamant throughout all the time she spent telling her story that she wasn't doing it for fame or the money but because she felt that spreading Akon’s messages was of utmost importance and could save the human race.
  102. The story I have told you so far has been taken from the 1980 publication of her book Beyond the Light Barrier and if you haven’t been able to tell, I hated it. I did and I’m sorry but it was a very difficult read. It had huge holes of important info while it had overly descriptive sections of dialogue that were just gratuitous descriptions of how much everyone loved the writer and thought she was amazing and she was so special and she was going to save the world. It was not my favorite piece of research for an episode.
  103. Anyway
  104. Elizabeth was a media darling. She was not afraid to tell her story and her story was riveting. People love juicy details and there were next to no stories of alien encounters that ended in doing the no pants dance with a spaceman.
  105. In 1968, Elizabeth was interviewed by ufologist Cynthia Hind who published her account in Fate magazine. A separate article in Outspan magazine would lead to a contact from Kitty Smith, another ufologist, who claimed to have spotted Akon’s ship in January 1984.
  106. In 1975, she was invited to the 11th international congress of ufo research groups in Wiesbaden, Germany where she delivered an address and supposedly received a standing ovation.
  107. In May 1992, Kitty Smith arranged a talk for her at the Unidentified flying objects club in Pietermaritzburg and the crowd to see her was so large, the facility couldn't cope with it.
  108. Elizabeth however was not necessarily at home in the UFO community. Remember, a lot her claims hinged on her being special. So when Ann Grevler, another south african woman, claimed her own alien contact in the late 1950’s, Elizabeth challenged her statements and dismissed her outright. She also denounced the contact Phillip Human, a ufologist who initially was very supportive of her claims, made through a trance medium as she felt space people would never stoop to such a low method of communication. This led to tension between the two and he would later denounce all her tales as utter fiction.
  109. Ufologist Thomas Streicher was not a fan of Elizabeth and dismissed her claims for lack of evidence. Although recorded statements from her first husband and sister corroborated some of her UFO sightings, no witnesses ever came forward about the pregnancy and it was never documented in a hospital or medical facility.
  110. Even her son David, who was involved in the harrowing horse climb with the cosmonaut, reports no recollection of any of these events, an absence of his mother, or a pregnancy that could tie in with her claims.
  111. She did have complete supporters though such as ufologist Cynthia Hind who never felt she was deliberately lying and suspected that an active imagination or illusions borne from a dream-state of euphoria were to be blamed for the improbabilities and inconsistencies inherent to her stories. Edgar Sievers, a ufologist who also interviewed her family, was completely satisfied that her experiences were of a physical rather than psychic nature up to the meeting with Akon.
  112. Elizabeth died of breast cancer at age 84. Her second book The Gravity File remained unfinished. The book filled in the gaps of the first  and explained Akon's "electro-gravity propulsion" technology. Before her death, she last told acquaintances about Ayling that he was now an astrophysicist following in the footsteps of his father. He had his own wife named Clea and they had a son.
  113. Now, while her book was very difficult for me to get through, Elizabeth Klarer could very well have seen, done, and experienced all she said she had.
