No more international breaks until March, thank god!
The festive period is upon us and the time of the year where things start to heat up on the football calendar, with plenty of action in store for us all.

Celtic endured a tough week back from the internationals, drawing 1-1 to Motherwell in the league and then suffered a 2-0 defeat away to Lazio in the Champions League, ending their European campaign.

Cardiff returned to action in the best way possible, earning a 2-1 victory away to Preston thanks to two late goals. However the Bluebirds failed to keep that momentum going midweek as suffered a home 1-0 defeat to West Brom.

We returned to club football with arguably the biggest fixture in the Premier League to date, with league leaders Man City entertaining second placed Liverpool at the Etihad. Erling Haaland broke the deadlock and earned himself his 50th Premier League goal, becoming the fastest player in history to achieve the milestone. However Trent Alexander-Arnold’s late strike earned Liverpool a valuable point, and simultaneously ending City's 23 consecutive home win streak.

Tottenham's injury crisis is now starting to reflect on their recent results as they lost 2-1 at home to Aston Villa, making it 3 straight defeats now for Spurs.

Newcastle bounced back in emphatic fashion after enduring a harsh 1-1 result in Champions League action against PSG by humbling Chelsea 4-1 at St James Park.

Everton's week went from bad to worse after being hit with a 10 point deduction due to FFP breaches, losing 3-0 at home to Man United where Alejandro Garnacho produced what could be goal of the season and potentially a strong contender for the next Puskas Award.

Fennan & Mayhem make their return to the booth after a week off to catch up on all the action!
