I am very excited to welcome you to My Warm Table Season 2.

Over the last few months, we’ve done a lot of thinking, listened to your survey feedback and tried to sharpen the focus of the podcast a little more.

My Warm Table Podcast is an independent podcast which is unashamedly focussed on Western Australians. It’s my way of adding some positivity to our state’s media landscape and amplifying the smart, kind, values-driven people in our communities who are out there doing good.

So this season around the warm table we will be talking about Passion and Purpose. It’s a theme that really resonates with me as I again throw myself into this podcast passion project!

Warmest thanks to:
Females Over 45 Fitness - Season 2 Sponsor
Damon Sutton - Sound Engineer Extraordinaire
William A Spence - My Warm Table music composition and performance

My Warm Table, translated into Italian is Tavola Calda. These were the words my Papa used to describe a table of good friends, good food and good conversation. I always aim to create a tavola calda in my life and I hope this podcast encourages you to do so too!

Sonia Nolan:

Do you recognise some of those voices? Yes, these were some of the generous people we had around the Warm Table last season when we indulged in smart conversations with heart. There were also a few new voices in there that you'll get to meet soon. Hello, I'm Sonia Nolan. And I'm very excited to welcome you to My Warm Table Season Two. Over the last few months, we've done a lot of thinking, listened to your survey feedback, and try to sharpen the focus of the podcast a little more. The title My Warm Table harks back to my Italian heritage and my papa's words of creating a Tavola Calda, a table of deep conversation, friendship, and a place of warmth and acceptance. My Warm Table is an independent podcast, which is unashamedly focused on Western Australians. It's my way of adding some positivity to our state's media landscape and amplifying the smart kind, values-driven people in our communities who are out there doing good. So this season, I want to warm the table with conversations about passion and purpose. It's a theme that really resonates with me, as I again, throw myself into this podcast passion project. We all have a purpose that gets us up every morning and into our day. And when you link that purpose with the passion that stirs your enthusiasm and quest to know and do more, then amazing things can truly happen. So we're all different and that's why in season two, I've had so much fun sharing the Warm Table and learning about the many different ways my guests are helping people. And as is my want, some of the conversations are a little left field and veer and deep dive across all sorts of topics. Some of the episodes in store will feature experts in their fields, while others are people who have just taken a leap of faith and followed a road less travelled to create positive impact through their charities or social businesses. And as the podcast evolves, I wondered if there might be a sponsor who wanted to partner with me. And when I started thinking about passion and purpose, I couldn't go past Kelli Reilly of Females Over 45 Fitness, or FOFF, as it's lovingly known. FOFF is a business she started in her early 50s, when she finally found the courage to tap into her passion for health and fitness for older women, and then made it her purpose. In a couple of short years, Kelli has created a wonderful FOFF community of women wanting to be stronger, fitter and healthier as they age. I'm actually one of them. So I'm delighted that season two of My Warm Table is sponsored by Females Over 45 Fitness in Victoria Park, and that at the end of each episode, you'll be able to glean Kelli's experience as she shares a health tip, especially for women over 40. So keep listening to the end each time. And as you're listening, you'll also notice new music, which has been specifically written for My Warm Table podcast like this. I love it. And I hope that you do too. I commissioned my very talented young friend, William Spence to compose and record new music for us and I think he's done an amazing job. Thank you, Will. You'll hear Will's music sprinkled throughout the conversations. It's a great improvement in the evolution of the podcast. I'll also be releasing episodes fortnightly this season, to give you time to listen and catch up on past conversations. And of course, there is a back catalogue of 30 episodes from last year that you can rediscover if you're missing the Warm Table experience in between releases. So as we launch into season two, I invite you to follow My Warm Table on social media. You'll find My Warm Table podcast on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Please also follow and download the podcast to your podcast listening platform, that might be on your mobile phone through the apple podcasts app or on Spotify. And then please take a seat and join me and my guests around the Warm Table throughout season two, to feast on their passion and purpose, I hope you'll be as inspired as I am.
