Designed by Dr. Tad McGeer, the inventor of the ScanEagle (a UAV that defined a whole new group of military aircraft), the Flexrotor from Aerovel is a vertical takeoff and landing autonomous aircraft with a pedigree that predates most commercial UAVs.
