Shoge, OD, MPH, serves on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee at Salus University as well as the Diversity and Cultural Competency Committee for the Association of Schools and Colleges of Optometry. She is passionate about educating current and future optometrists about cultural competency and humility and the importance for this kind of education in the curriculum.
