Welcome to The Weekly Top 3 — our look at the top 3 things on our mind here at Alaskans for Sustainable Budgets — for the week of April 29, 2024.
This week, our top 3 issues are these: 1) we discuss how the FY24 Supplemental and FY25 budgets are shaping up (2:18); 2) we explain the latest embarrassment involving the Permanent Fund Board and ask whether it will ever stop (17:14); and 3) we discuss what we believe is the worst idea yet for dealing with the so-called Cook Inlet gas crisis (33:40).
One additional note. Due to some technical difficulties encountered while recording, viewers may notice we go old school about a third of the way through today’s podcast and shift over to the telephone. All of the content from the show is included except for the air diargrams Michael and I are prone to draw occasionally with our hands.
The Weekly Top 3 is a regular weekly segment on The Michael Dukes Show. The Show broadcasts on Facebook and YouTubeLive as well as via streaming audio from the Show’s website weekdays from 6–8am. We join Michael weekly in the first hour of Tuesday’s show, from 6:25–7am, for a discussion between the two of us about our three issues.
