Speaker 1:

Hi and welcome to our podcast, revelation Within On the Go. I'm Heidi Wiles-Meperson, one of your hosts and the owner and lead coach of the RevelationWithinorg ministry, and I'm Christina Motley, your other host, also a Revelation Within coach, and Heidi's partner in all things Revelation Within. We are so excited to invite you to this special episode of Revelation Within On the show. We have a special December series for you. Each day, a short mind renewal meditation will be released lasting about five minutes. We hope these encourage you to press in closer to Jesus this year. Hey everyone, this is Christina Motley and I'm going to do a mind renewal audio to prepare for a social situation.

Speaker 1:

Lord Jesus, I have a social situation coming up. I am looking forward to it, I'm excited about it. It's going to be a wonderful event, but I know that in the past I have really struggled with eating and drinking inside of my boundaries during certain social situations. Certain social situations. Lord, I want to renew my mind so that I am filling my mind with truth about what is true from your perspective, not from my perspective. I want to think my thoughts after you about this particular social situation. I want to be prepared, lord. What is true. Is that my purpose in going to this situation is to please you, to bring glory to you and to love others. Well, I want to love you first, lord, and I want my reason to be going, my purpose to be going, not to be to please myself, but to please you and others. Lord Jesus, there will be a lot of food and drink that I love at this social situation, but I don't want to love anything more than you and then others. I pray that the food and drink would be secondary, that my primary focus would be you and others. I pray that my focus would not be on myself and my own desires. Philippians 2, 4,. Do not merely look out for your own personal interest, but also for the interest of others. Lord, help me in this social event to be others focused and to sense what others need and how I can serve them and get to know them better and pray for them. I pray that my focus would not be on myself.

Speaker 1:

Colossians 3, 12 through 15. So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience, bearing with one another and forgiving each other whoever has a complaint against anyone. Just as the Lord forgave you. So also should you, beyond all these things, put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which, indeed, you were called in one body, and be thankful. Lord, what is true is that I want to be thankful for this social event and for the people that will be there. I want to be thankful for what you have given me. I want to listen to my hunger and fullness signals, both physically and emotionally. I want to lay this social situation down at your feet and ask you to come with me, and ask you to use me as your servant during this time. I trust you and I love you and I submit to you In Jesus' name, I pray Amen.
