Revelation Within On the Go!

December Surrender Day 7: Finding Hope in Uncertainty

Heidi Bylsma-Epperson and Christina Motley Season 1 Episode 129

Send us a text

We have a special December series for you. Each day a short mind renewal meditation will be released, lasting about five minutes. We hope these encourage you to press-in closer to Jesus this year.

Can trust and faith truly endure when the path ahead seems clouded and uncertain? We invite you to explore how scripture provides a beacon of hope and reassurance. Through candid reflections on passages like Psalm 37, Isaiah 55, and Psalm 31, we journey together to reaffirm that God's love and promises remain immutable, even when He feels distant.

Speaker 1:

Hey everyone, this is Christina Motley and I am going to do a Mind Renewal audio on trust. Lord Jesus, I have to tell you this morning that I am struggling with trusting you. It is so hard sometimes to trust you because I can't see you and I can't physically touch you. And today, lord, you feel so far away. You seem quiet to me, you seem like you're not answering my prayers and I'm struggling with trusting you. Lord, what I want to do is renew my mind so that I can fill my mind with truth and know that I can trust you and depend on you. No matter how I feel or no matter what I sense or don't sense, you are the same today and yesterday, tomorrow, you are unchanging. I can trust you.

Speaker 1:

Psalm 37, 4 through 6. Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust in him, and he will do this. He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause, like the new day sun. Lord Jesus, this is what is true. What is true is that if I commit my ways to you, you will do a mighty work in me. What is true is that you are constantly working in my life and in my heart, and through the situations that you have brought before me. What is true is that even when I don't sense you or feel you, you are there and you are at work.

Speaker 1:

Isaiah 55, 8 through 9. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways, my ways, says the Lord, for as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your Lord. What is true is that I don't know what you are thinking, I don't understand what you are doing, but I can trust you because you love me and you made me and you redeemed me, and I am yours. Psalm 31, 19. How abundant is your goodness that you have laid up for those who fear you and accomplished for those who take refuge in you in the sight of everyone. Lord, what is true is that you are for me, you are good, you are all powerful and I am yours. Help me, lord, to trust you in this day, in every moment of this day, to trust you. I thank you, god, for who you are, and I pray these things in Jesus' name, amen.
