Viewpoints
«Viewpoints» is the latest podcast and news magazine produced by the Community Radio Fund of Canada. It provides an overview of what’s happening across Canada, thanks to some 20 radio reporters posted across the country (British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, North West Territories, Québec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia) and working for the Local Journalism Initiative (LJI). The Local Journalism Initiative (LJI) supports the production of original civic journalism news content that covers the diverse needs of underserved communities across Canada. Politics, society, environment, community, arts and culture take the air on «Viewpoints» hosted by Boris Chassagne. The Community Radio Fund of Canada works in collaboration with the National Campus and Community Radio Association (NCRA/ANREC).

On this week’s show, we’ll be mellowing down, taking it easy in the company of three Canadian musicians. We’ll talk with Jamie Muir, the owner of Supercool Pedals, a Peterborough-based guitar effects store who received international recognition. To Vancouver to meet Sam Tudor, who’s on a tour to promote his new EP. And Alderville First Nation musician Cale Crowe is also releasing new music. He’ll be with us.
Thanks to Louis Belcourt, Jeff Gard, and Edward Sweeney for their musical contributions this week. Our National Editors are Victoria Fenner and Maureen McEwan. Host and producer Boris Chassagne. Viewpoints is brought to you by the Community Radio Fund of Canada and your local radio station. Remember to check out our other stories on frequencynews.ca.
