Kiana Barron was appointed the Statewide Consumer Protection Enforcement Investigator. In 2015, She oversaw multi-State investigators, and administrative personnel working to protect consumers from deceptive and unfair practices in the commercial marketplace, and risk management violations. She previously served as Deputy Emergency Management Specialist, District of Columbia. Kiana developed or oversaw hundreds of enforcement actions and led major policy initiatives related to privacy, emerging technologies, deception, and fraud. She also developed several significant FTC rules. She is a graduate of University District of Columbia (2018) and OSHA Academy (2016).
Kiana is a native Washingtonian.
