Carrie Rebora Barratt is the director of LongHouse Reserve, a 16-acre sanctuary in East Hampton, New York, renowned for its sculpture garden featuring over 60 artworks. Following the passing of the founder, Jack Lenor Larsen, a distinguished fabric weaver and textile designer, Carrie adeptly managed the transition, navigating the challenges of leadership and the grief accompanying such a loss.

With a rich background as an art historian, including notable positions at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the New York Botanical Garden, Carrie brings a profound appreciation for history and culture to her role. Her extensive knowledge and experience have been instrumental in evolving LongHouse Reserve while preserving its beauty and sanctity. Her vision is to create a space that inspires living with art in all its forms, fostering imagination, ideas, and exploration.

Under her leadership, LongHouse Reserve hosts a variety of events and programs, such as the summer benefit, artist residencies, book talks, walking meditations, yoga, and art-making activities.
