Paul says, "it is not I but sin that is in me." If we say that we have no sin, then we make God out to be a liar and the truth is not in us. In order to be set free and know the truth in Christ we must confess our sins unto the Lord with a pure honest heart. You deceive yourself if you think you are hiding anything from God. Psalm 32:2 & 5: 2"How blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity, and in whose spirit is no deceit, 5 I acknowledged my sin to You, and my iniquity I did not hide; I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the Lord "; and you forgave the quilt of my sin.
