Your host, certified life coach Lindsay Poelman started her journey of intentional healing started when she learned that her husband had been lying to her about pornography...

📍 Hey, everybody. I hope you're doing so well. I wanted to bring you this shorter episode today to talk about why   not  learning how to dial into your intuitive sense, your intuitive knowing might be the thing that's keeping  your coaching practice or whatever you call your practice from completely taking off.

So I'll go into that, , but what I want to also address in this episode is the shift from identifying as a coach to perhaps embracing roles of healer, a guide, and even dare I say, a humanitarian.  And I want to talk to you about how You know, for me, finding these shifts and shifting into these different ways of seeing myself, giving myself permission to do that is part of what took me from making less than six figures to more than six figures pretty rapidly.

As you listen to this podcast episode today, just kind of pay attention and ask yourself, you know, have I ever felt an urge, you know, if you're already a coach,  check in and ask yourself, have I ever felt the urge to step beyond the boundaries of conventional coaching, the coaching that I was trained to do, or if you've never been a coach and you perhaps want to become a coach, you might be asking, where could I find a coaching certification that.

Teaches these conventional tools, but also builds in all of this intuitive soul connection, manifestation, , contextual understanding into the package. And I  want you to know that those answers are here within both of my certification programs. . Perhaps you have sensed a greater purpose, a higher calling to , becoming  a beacon of healing in the world that desperately needs it today.

And I would say the demand for being a coach, a guide, a healer, a humanitarian. Is higher than ever.  We're going to talk about that and  unpack this journey of going from,  identifying as a coach  and why transitioning from that identity from coach to healer may be one of the coolest pivots that you have to date.

Okay.  You might be asking, well, why isn't coaching enough?  Why do we have to do more? Right. I already learned these tools. I got results from it.  And while coaching is a valuable tool, it's a tool, not the tool, especially one dimensional coaching that a lot of people are taught  in general certifications today. So it's valuable and   while it's valuable. And while for some people, it's the bridge that helps them feel safe enough in their mind to go deeper into their bodies.  What I see is that really, really deep sustainable transformation goes beyond mere strategy and technique.

Okay. It's not about completely removing the foundation of, certain mindset principles, but maybe laying  in. A stable foundation that's also , fluid and ongoing and can roll with ebbs and flows as we have more information or as we continue to, , shift into this new age of coaching this new age of humanity.

And as we develop new tools and ways to show up for our clients and meet them where they're at as coaches, we can really help our clients  Dive deep into the depths of their human experience, their lived experience, , have compassion, understanding for, , any past or present behaviors that they're exhibiting.

And it can really help us connect with our clients on a very deep soul level. And it's possible that you as a coach could be the first person  to see your client  soul to soul. Without attachment for them to behave a certain way. And that is pretty magical. And just that is so, so, so healing.  So I just want you to know that yes, one dimensional coaching can be helpful, but  is the tip of the iceberg as far as what else we can provide our clients as coaches.

And that's why in my certifications, we make sure that we have a lot of other ways to meet clients where they're at through my self trust triad that I developed through my Pullman relationship grid of returning and reconnecting to self. , and through so many other different tools that I've developed and coaching principles that I teach , in my programs.

I wanted to share briefly too, that  when I was in high school, It was  like a newer thing for families to,  go abroad and do service projects and things like that. And it wasn't something that my family ever did.  But one thing that my, my dad was always really good at was making sure that we were connected to the world around us.

Beyond the  little cultural bubble of where, where we were raised. , I have memories of,  Christmas or Christmas Eve going and taking these, you know, less fortunate families shopping to get Christmas presents. And I remember being a little confused as a kid being like, why are they getting coats and rice makers and not toys?

And I'm forever grateful for my dad because he  saw beyond the bubble. That we were culturally raised in and made a point to step out and serve  and it helped me to , show up in that humanitarian way that in my eyes, I guess I hadn't, I thought could only happen if you,  were to go live in a third world country.

I met my partner, Danny, through a humanitarian experience where I went and volunteered in Thailand after the tsunami,  that happened in 2004. And I remember just feeling so much like me, so much like me, , on this trip. And  I hadn't really quite felt as free to be me anywhere else then while I was.

In that country, serving those people and rebuilding houses and doing micro credit projects. And it's cool that that was actually where I met Danny,  because that true me was coming through.  And I also remember, , some grief  during and after that trip thinking like, okay, , now I got to hang up my quote unquote humanitarian boots.

And go home  and do the accounting thing, , do something where I earn enough money to eventually be able to go do these humanitarian trips in the future.  And yeah, I just remember there being grief in that, , I wish I could just live here, but I can't. , and have kids , and do all the other things that I had been dreaming of doing.

And so  as I went through , and finished my graduate degree in accounting with a master's in tax, again, it was  yeah, long run. I want to get to a place where when I retire, I can go do those things again. Cause I thought I had to  give it up. And yeah. , when stuff started happening with my husband's health and I decided to become a coach and leave the accounting industry and go into coaching, , it felt a lot more aligned with what I was doing, but it's still, I was still   looking at it as a career where I was just really lucky that I could do something that I was passionate about and help people and support them in their healing.

And, support myself and my family financially as well.  It felt like such a bonus, okay? So that was really powerful. And even then earlier in my coaching and in my coaching practice, I definitely was embodying more of the masculine approach   in , the way I approached my business and the way that I even identified.  And then I remember being on this coaching call, , with a mentor of mine.  And   I had this aha moment where I  realized, Oh,  I can be a humanitarian right now., Oh, I'm a humanitarian.

Am I concerned about the welfare of humans? Yes. It doesn't, I don't have to be in a certain country to be living that through as really cool because ever since I've been able to do that and  live into this truth and power of who I am, I'm Lindsay Poelman. Yes. I'm a coach. Do I see myself as a healer?

Yes. Hell yes. Do I see myself as a humanitarian? Yes.  k?, and , what I've noticed since then is  I really shifted into this more,  there's still strategy involved, but the intuition is leading the way as I've leaned into this intuitive space. It's been really cool because not only has it felt so much more aligned and things   fall into place the way that they're meant to.

I that's when my coaching practice, as far as money is concerned, that's when I took things to six figures and beyond.

So . I wanted to share that experience with you because It really made a difference for me as far as my business was concerned and the ease with how I ran my business , where I was able to lighten up on my hustling, but start trusting myself more.

And that's where things just really started falling into place in a really beautiful way. And if that's possible for me, trust me, it's possible for you too. And I know it's not all about the money. It's not. And I also know that. We have nervous systems  , that carry money stories, money, wounds, money, trauma, a lot of different things with money for a lot of women that I work with , and men too.

And so I think it's important to be willing to talk about that as well.   You can start a new career and support yourself financially. And what if being connected and attuned to your intuition gets to be a part of that? And what if that makes it that much easier for you? Okay. And , this is one of my absolute favorite things to help people do in these certification programs is to dial into the calls of their intuition,  , return to , the parts of them that,  We're here when they were born and maybe that through society , or through different experiences, they had to deny or ignore or shove down or hide.

And so when we can help people feel safe enough in their body, through, you know, understanding the context of trauma, healing some wounds, creating more nervous system safety in our body. It  opens up that channel of connection to our intuition so much more  than it already is. And it's important because  our intuition is our divine birthright. It can be, it can be pre verbal. It's the language we came here knowing how to speak, right? It's that part that sometimes whispers and tells us, Hey, something seems off. It's off. Right?  And it's non judgmental, and it's non urgent, and we can be ignoring it, ignoring it, ignoring it.

Like a GPS, and then once we finally, Decide to tell our intuition that we're ready to listen.  It doesn't judge us. Right. And so as we heal, learn how to heal on a micro level, it affects the collective, it affects humanity. And so it gets to be about you connecting to your intuition, doing something that you love as a career, as a profession, feeling confident in that and being aligned and attuned and getting out of the hustle, it gets to be  About you.

And trust me when I say that letting it be about you for a little while is going to impact all the people that you're wanting to impact, , organically in ways that you're probably wanting to as well. . And so,  returning to yourself, returning to your intuitive side, to that intuitive side.

It's such a beautiful thing to model  to your children or to the people around you or to families. And does it affect your relationships? Yes. , it will help you see more of the true essence of your relationship as relationships as your true self comes through.  And how do we do this? We do this through the self trust triad that I've developed that  supports you in living a more intuitive soul led life.

, it's one of my favorite things that I teach. I developed it while I was doing a lot of betrayal trauma coaching, , to help women tap into their bodies and. And get to know their truth, regardless of what was being told to them. And it's magical to be able to use this, not just with respect to that, but with respect to where you're moving, where you want to go.

,, when we understand ourselves through the self trust triad, we will stop overriding trauma responses. We stop overriding and ignoring, , or suppressing our intuitive hits. We stop, ,   pushing away emotions that we need to feel right. And we start listening to our body because our body knows how to heal and sure it might need help, right?

It may need presence of a coach or a guide or a practitioner or expert. To,  teach you how to dress your wounds so you can dress them on your own. , but it's,  just magical. It's absolutely magical. And I just want you to know that, through my example and through other people that I've worked with, you can lean into your intuitive side.

And sustain and support yourself financially.   The way that we think about money as a construct it's, and it's unique based on what we've internalized growing up. And, our soul and our intuition doesn't judge us when we.

say, , I want to do something I love, but I also want to earn money, right? The idea that helping people should be done voluntarily is a construct that, , was  created to keep certain people in, again, in positions of power, right? , keeping women uneducated and,  we're moving beyond that.

We're moving into a really cool phase of life. So, , if you feel like you're ready to.  Maybe for you, it's making the leap from whatever you're doing right now to embarking on a career as a certified trauma informed coach. I've got you, and our community has got you. If you're already a coach, and you want to become trauma informed, we've also got you.

And if you're wanting to make that leap from conventional coaching to more of that healer, humanitarian guide side, , perhaps it will start with you surrendering to your intuition and trusting the wisdom of your soul to guide you on this journey, right?

Releasing the need for rigid structures and methodologies. And instead Embracing the fluidity of , intuitive led healing. , so that you can tap into your unique gifts and  channel love and light with the people that you're working with, or just through yourself.

, and you know what, I'm here to help you with that. That's my favorite thing about this work that I'm doing really has to do with connecting to our souls  and getting into these spaces where when we interact with our clients, it's a soul space. Where my soul is seeing someone else's soul and my soul sees their soul because they feel safe to show me theirs.

And it's really sacred. It's some of the most sacred, powerful work that I've done. And if it's something that you're interested in, if you're ready to answer this call and come on this journey, I I've got you covered  and, you know, show you how this works through the different ways that I teach these tools.

Multiple tools to meet many, many humans where they're at in my certification program. So if you're interested in , either of these programs, check the show notes for links to when they start next. I have  , my next full trauma informed coach certification for people that aren't coaches yet starting in June.
