Become A Trauma Informed Coach

More inclusivity for the LGBTQIA+ Community with Meagan Skidmore

Lindsay Poelman Season 1 Episode 53

What a gift it was to learn from ARTC Alumnus Meagan Skidmore as she shares more about what her experience has been supporting a child as he has shifted how he identifies. Meagan shares what her journey has been as a devout christian and how she her awareness of her expanded nuance has shifted over the years. How her love for her children and others has grown through these experiences, and how compassionate she has been towards past versions of herself that used to think differently.

She speaks to how this experience led her to see the importance of becoming trauma-informed not only for herself, but for her relationships, clients, and more.  She also provides a few tips on how to better support members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

This episode is a must-listen, as I think it's essential to understand how to support our marginalized teens, adolescents, and adults in this space.
