Speaker 1:

Hello and welcome to the Hope Unlocked podcast. I'm your host, Kristin Kurtz, and I'm also the founder of New Wings Coaching, where I empower and unlock women to soar in their calling and roar with their voices. If you're curious to learn more about how coaching can help you unlock your potential, be sure to explore the show notes for ways to connect with me further. Get ready to dive in as we uncover empowering keys and insights in this episode. So tune in and let's unlock hope together. I'm flipping the script a little bit. I had a call with a client yesterday and it was absolutely amazing. Well, I had two calls with clients yesterday and they're both like absolutely amazing. What's really incredible is to be able to what I call freestyle, to go into a coaching call with a client and not really have an agenda, and then you get to the end and you're like, wow, holy Spirit is incredible and it's so fun to go on an adventure with the Holy Spirit and with clients and to see just what he'll do. But anyways, before the call last week, I had talked about things that piss you off and things that you're passionate about, and how they can kind of converge and intersect and really become, in essence, part of your purpose. Like those two things put together, it's like an ingredient for you really walking out part of your purpose. So before I had that call, I just heard I actually got kind of a flip the script little blueprint for what that would look like when I have a call with clients and I just heard, rather than it being pissed off, it's fed up and I'm not going to share all of what he showed me because you need to be a client for me to share all the things with you, because I don't give all my secrets away, but fed up. So that's a big part of I'm very fiery. I may not seem like it on the outside. I've been called like a peaceful warrior and I'll take that. I'll take that. But one of the things that really I get really fed up about, really fed up about well, there's a lot of things I get fed up about, but I'll share today one of the things I get really fed up about and that is seeing women sitting on the sidelines.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to give you an example and I'm going to share a story of somebody very, very close to me who is wise beyond his age and he had something happen last week or last year. That was completely out of his control, actually, and it did actually sideline him. It kind of benched him for a season, quite literally, and even though he was benched from doing something that he's super passionate about, he showed up, he showed up, he showed up at these places and I'm going to try to keep this. Really. I mean, I could, I could share the fullness of it, but I'm not feeling led to share that right now. But he had an opportunity to just, you know, not not show up, but even though he couldn't do the thing that he was passionate about, he still showed up all the time and was cheering people on and was, in essence, coaching, which is so cool because, yeah, that's a whole other story. So this year came around and he had an opportunity to take part in getting off the bench and this particular person did not make the cut, okay. So, rather than sulking, giving up, he said well, you know, michael Jordan didn't make the freshman basketball team.

Speaker 1:

And without saying who this was and what this is about, what, what young teenager says that? What teenager would say, basically, I'm not giving up. This isn't going to like sideline me forever, I'm not going to like throw in the towel. I'm not going to let this crush me. I'm not going to let it keep me from stepping out and doing more things that are that I'm passionate about, because there was a moment that I was like, wow, I wonder how I would have felt back at that age, and I don't think I would have taken it like that honestly.

Speaker 1:

So, yeah, what I do get fed up about is seeing women sitting on the sidelines having opportunities come your way, but you just don't step out because of fear. There's a lot of things that could to play into that. That you're, you know, just listening to what other people tell you to do. That's actually not part of your purpose. Maybe you're not even passionate about it, but yet you're doing it because it's safe and I get fed up. I get fed up seeing that because I know the fullness.

Speaker 1:

I can actually see beyond, like my Facebook Live yesterday. I can see beyond what is within people at times, and I think that's partly because I'm I'm an empath, I'm a seer, I'm a feeler, and to be able to, to know that we have so much more that is within us. But we're just, you know, like what? What is keeping you from moving? What is keeping you from getting off the sidelines? Is there something that somebody said to you years ago and you're like oh well, you know, 25 years ago, somebody told me I wasn't good at this, get over it. Okay, I'm going to just say get over it, get over it, get over it. We got to stop looking in the rear view mirror and start moving forward. Have I had times where you know things keep me from moving forward? Absolutely, but I think that's part of why you know I'm he's truly anointed me to be a lifeguard, and if you don't know what a lifecoach is, feel free to reach out to me.

Speaker 1:

I operate very differently than even the training that I received seven years ago, but there are so much more within you and I just get fed up. I get fed up when I see untapped potential in women that you know. You're just sitting on the sidelines because you're like oh, I'm not good enough. Oh, somebody told me I couldn't do this. But it's like why are you what? What's keeping you there? What's keeping you on the sidelines? I want to call you up today.

Speaker 1:

My little ninja coaching question today is what is keeping you stuck?

Speaker 1:

What is keeping you stuck? What is keeping you stuck? Ask the Lord what is keeping me stuck? And then I want you to dig in with him and find out what's your next move, because the world is waiting for you. There are people waiting for you to actually step into what you're called to do. They're waiting for your voice to be unleashed. They're waiting for you to create something. They're waiting for you to write your book. They're waiting for you to write a song. Maybe you're called to write a movie, I don't know. You got something in you that you're not unleashing. So I get fed up because when I do get the beautiful opportunity to come alongside women and literally unlock them pretty quickly to do that thing one step at a time, because it's not just an overnight like okay, we're going to go write a movie and it's going to launch the next day, no, you have to actually. Anyway, that is it for now. I got to run into the chiropractor and I think my phone is trying to disconnect me, so have a blessed day, bye.
