Time is the most valuable asset we have.
In this episode, I explore time, our thoughts and beliefs about time, discuss ways and techniques to create time in our daily life, and how to make time for the things that matter most.
THINGS THAT COST TIME
THINGS THAT CREATE TIME
Podcast TALKING TO MYSELF with Eleonora Gendelman
TTM#6 CREATING MORE TIME - SELF ENQUIRY
WHAT DO YOU USE YOUR TIME FOR?
You had 24 hours, and you got to spend them. How did you spend them?
Make a list of everything you spent time on.
When you consider how you spent your day, what are your thoughts about how you spent your time?
If you could go back and redo this day and spend your time better, what would you do differently, and why?
Imagine that tomorrow is your last day. You only have 24 hours left in your life. How would you spend your day? Examine what you would create with your most valuable 24 hours.
WHAT DO YOU THINK AND BELIEVE ABOUT TIME?
Do you believe you have enough time? Why or why not?
What takes up your time, and why?
Time goes by fast when…
Time goes by slowly when...
If I had more time, I would…
If I had less time, I would...
CREATING MORE TIME
What are the main distractions in your life, and how can you reduce or eliminate them?
What are the projects you started and have not completed yet?
What are the things you are doing at the ‘same time’ (multitasking), and how does it affect your focus and attention?
What are you ‘trying’ to do instead of actually doing it?
How often do you say you are busy? What do you make it mean, and what might it be like to eliminate that word as an option?
Are you taking massive action? Why or why not?
If you had to constrain and pick one area to take massive action, what area would that be, and what would that massive action be?
How often do you plan, and when you do plan, do you honor your plan? Why or why not?
Do you need to say ‘NO’ more often? If you could say ‘NO’ more often, who would you say it to, and why? Why aren’t you doing it now?
