A Woman Is Murdered, And 11 Years Later Shows Up Alive And Well
Aug 09, 2022 Season 4 Episode 14
Selah Terwilliger

Imagine being charged for a murder that you know you didn't commit, and years later the victim you were charged with murdering, shows up alive and well.

Jailed, and innocent. This happened to a man in china in the 1990s and has actually happened a few more times since. So much so, that a book has been published in China about the unlawful imprisonment of innocent individuals, and the lengths the authorities use to extract unlawful confessions from the imprisoned. This is She's story; His wife was found murdered and he was arrested, and thrown in prison for her murder due to him having an affair at the time. 11 years later, his wife shows up. She had mental health issues and had left her home. When she left, coincidentally, another woman was murdered and had been discovered. Since She's wife was missing at the time, authorities ran with this and did their best to ensure She was throw in prison.

There is no doubt, that in most countries, authorities make mistakes, and can even use their positions to push for the outcome they want, rather than the outcome that actually delivers justice to the victim.
