Lycanthropy; Did you know this is an actual medical diagnosis? `a form of madness involving the delusion of being an animal, usually a wolf, with correspondingly altered behavior.`
"In modern psychology, lycanthropy is an infrequent disorder in which a person believes they're a wolf or some other animal, often linked to schizophrenia."

Between 1852 and 2020, there have been 43 cases where patients have been diagnosed with Lycanthropy;  This disease is usually associated with a human transforming into a wolf. Everything you see in movies, and horror stories, points to this transformation rather than the psychological aspect. The Werewolf of Allariz for example was the first serial killer recorded in Spain. In court, the suspect had blamed his murders on his transformation into a werewolf and claimed to have only ever hurt anyone under the form of this transformation.

What are your thoughts on this topic? Personally, I believe in Lycanthropy. I don't believe it causes a person to physically transform into a werewolf. I do however believe that one may become manic and violent, and commit a murder, and truly believe they had transformed into some sort of animal.
