Some Laugh

Ep 124: Democracy Sausage with Tom Ballard

Some Laugh Podcast Episode 124

This week Stuart and Marc are joined by comedian Tom Ballard. Tom discusses the challenges of doing political comedy in Australia (and translating it for an international audience), developing his polemical style and what it was like hosting topical news show Tonightly which ran 5 nights a week on Aussie TV.  Plus, Tom discusses the importance of the Edinburgh Fringe for acts from outside the UK, how he reacts to audience walk-outs and his critiques of religion through his stand-up act.
