You wish to heal others.
You wish to aid in the spiritual unfoldment
of family, friends, and strangers alike.
You want to be a healer.
First, relinquish your ego
For the conduit, cannot be the source.
Second, know that you already are a healer.
When you offer a smile.
When you forgive yourself.
When you send a message of love to another.
Even when you hurt someone,
you are playing your part
in their unfoldment,
in their healing,
in their return to union.
Third, when more “direct” means of healing are desired,
When you feel compelled by a knowing deep within
that a more active means of participation,
in this particular instance, is not only necessary,
but it’s what you were put on this earth,
In this moment, to do…
Tread lightly, without judgement,
With tenderness and compassion.
And heed the following:
In working with the spirit world,
you must prepare your mind and body…
Before you place your hands
on another in your presence…
Before you focus the energy and light of your being
on the image of another in your mind’s eye.
Say to yourself a sort of prayer, something like:
"As I enter the world of eternal essences and spirit bodies,
I know that…
the angry ones, the little ones,
the frightened ones, the loving ones,
all, in fact, are pieces of me.
I ask that each one put to use the vital part of me
that is needed to move them into higher realms.
Let each one drink at the energetic spring of my essence
and move, in peace, into the arms of the Protectors.”
Dear one, healing one,
think these thoughts, over and over, as you work
pondering on the love you proffer in the process.
Know that each one using your essence
is doing so with your permission;
know, also, that each one is a part of you;
treat them accordingly.
They mean no ill;
generally, they are lost and frightened… lonely…
and totally without understanding of their state of being.
Therefore, when "something seizes your arms," for example,
use your hands in a downward-toward-the-fingers motion
to "wipe" the sticky, cobweb, gripping feeling
down the arms and “out” the fingertips.
Gently flick the fingertips, thinking, "Go in peace."
Cleanse each arm, or face or shoulder, or other body part
until the sensation dissipates.
Do not feel or show anger or fear or disgust
as you cleanse your earth body.
Feel only love.
Be kind to the ones you send on their way,
regardless of the manner in which they manifest as you work.
We are with you, always.
Trust in your knowing.
You are doing exactly as you are supposed to.
All are healers on this earth.
But most, in ignorance, guard their real power jealously,
Darkening for a lifetime what seeks the light of eternity.
Release your hold on this learned structure of being.
Unleash what longs to flow through you,
without agenda, or ego, or expectation.
Simply know it is done in the moment you begin,
recommitting to love in each moment thereafter,
as you lift the lost and frightened ones
from their clinging posts.
Know that the relief you’re helping to bring about for another
is yours as well.
Trust, fellow healer.
Your technique will quicken.
Stand out of the way, and let the work… commence.
