Hunger for Wholeness
Story matters. Our lives are shaped around immersive, powerful stories that thrive at the heart of our religious traditions, scientific inquiries, and cultural landscapes. As Bertrand Russell and Albert Einstein claimed, science without religion is lame and religion without science is blind. This podcast will hear from speakers in interdisciplinary fields of science and religion who are finding answers for how to live wholistic lives. This podcast is made possible by funding from the Fetzer Institute. We are very grateful for their generosity and support. Hunger for Wholeness
Is Religion Dying? with Catherine Keller (Part 1)
In this episode Hosts, Ilia Delio and Gabby Sloan interview Teacher, Author, Activist, Catherine Keller as they discuss the following themes:
- Can the crisis of our time open us to new revelations that embrace the past yet are open to newness?
- Who does God become when we begin to think more deeply about the depth and interconnectedness of God?
- Democratizing religion — how can we make religion communal to transform institutions?
Catherine Keller is George T. Cobb Professor of Constructive Theology in The Graduate Division of Religion of Drew University. She works amidst the tangles of ecosocial, pluralist, feminist philosophy of religion and theology. Her recent books include: Face of the Deep: a Theology of Becoming; Cloud of the Impossible: Negative Theology and Planetary Entanglement; Political Theology of the Earth: Our Planetary Emergency and the Struggle for a New Public; and Facing Apocalypse: Climate, Democracy and Other Last Chances.
“In a universe of intersecting intersections, might we mobilize our deep entanglement for sustainable justice and loving creativity?”
