Amy Henderson

Amy is a professional triathlete and mom of two to Oliver who is 4 and Margot who is 2. Amy got started in triathlon at the age of 9 when she raced with her mom and was inspired to try an Ironman by her older brother Ted. Amy earned her elite-license in triathlon by placing 10th overall amateur at Kona in 2018. After that race she took a break from racing to have her son, Oliver. After the cancelled 2020 season and giving birth to her daughter, Amy raced her rookie pro season in 2022.  For the 2023 season Amy plans to focus on road cycling and cyclocross. Amy races with the Pacific Northwest team Pacific Office Automation Cycling.

Outside of triathlon, Amy's professional work has focused on social psychology research. Amy is originally from Wisconsin and settled in Portland, OR to be close to her husband Nick's family. She feels very at home in Portland as she loves to befriend outdoor cats, ride her bike, and journal in coffee shops.
