Your hosts Andrew Jones & Neil Greggor, based in the South West of England, are this time joined by Dr Laura Tennant, Young Animal Feeds Technical Manager, Trouw Nutrition GB.
Laura discusses her own journey into the industry, from a beef & sheep farm near Harrogate in Yorkshire to studying for her degree in Bristol, her Masters in London, to her PhD in Nottingham before becoming the Head of Youngstock at Nottingham University, to where she is now at Trouw before discussing the primary subject of this podcast, Calf Milk Powders!
Laura then discusses milk powders, the dos and don'ts, the difference between skim & whey, why palm is used in milk powders, why soya shouldn't be used in milk powders, and answers all our questions along the way, and how it is her belief that we should start using the phrase "Feed for Immunity".
