Katie's HG Story.
Aug 07, 2023 Season 2 Episode 13

In this episode we chat with Katie; a first time HG survivor based in a remote community in East Arnhem Land in the NT who tells us about the incredible care & support she received from her Obstetrician & how even with the best of care she still endured the devastating effects of HG both physically & mentally. Katie also details the amazing planning that went into her postpartum recovery & how she's coping almost one year on.

This is essential listening for anyone interested in the level of care that should be provided to HG sufferers &, in particular, healthcare providers looking for guidance on best practice. It’s also a lesson for sufferers in managing expectations because even if you have the care you deserve HG is still an incredibly difficult journey.
