Kate's HG Story.
Sep 11, 2023 Season 2 Episode 18

In this episode we’re joined by Kate, a church Minister, who candidly shares her experiences of grappling with HG during her two pregnancies; one of which resulted in a missed miscarriage. We explore what it's like to go through loss after HG, supportive postpartum, pregnancy during lockdowns and the intersection of faith and challenging circumstances including surgery whilst pregnant.

Kate's story provides a unique vantage point, as she entered her pregnancies armed with knowledge from her sister's 2 HG experiences, yet still faced her own tumultuous journey. We delve into Kate's experience of receiving top-tier medical care and the horrific PTSD that followed well into her postpartum. This episode shows just how significant HG's impact can be even in the best of circumstances. And it serves as a testament to the power of community, personal advocacy and the resilience of HG sufferers, offering solace and connection to those facing similar challenges.
