“Wherever you go, there you are.”

Rae Hamilton is a CLT-based nutrition coach who is tackling the task of leaning into her passions AND her fears. From a small town in upstate New York— she found her happiness and self confidence in Charlotte, NC through setting difficult boundaries, facing her emotions head on, and healing herself from the inside out. Rae is working with clients to discover their “why” and pursue it with patience and self-compassion— while still enjoying a good red wine with plenty of carbs along the way.

In this episode, Rae shares her journey from childhood through now–from focusing on helping everyone else in her life through making the life-changing decision to start living for herself. Both challenging and beautiful, Rae’s story reminds us that we only have one life and one person will be there with us through all of it: ourselves. From tying body image to self worth to progressing into the confident woman she is today, helping others on the path of a more fulfilling and purpose-driven life. A great conversational mix of stories, connections and practical tips for nutrition as well as life in general, some of the topics of our conversation today include:

  • How childhood affected her relationship with food
  • How coaching others has taught her more about herself
  • Fitting goals into your life as it is today
  • Jumping into that calling– how sticking to your purpose will light you up
  • Why we often try to fix others when we need to fix ourselves
  • Sticking to the basics for nutrition success
  • How nutrition affects our mental health
  • The path to learning that change occurs only within
  • Finding your why in goal setting
  • Why loving yourself can be challenging
  • Navigating emotions with body image
  • Why “fake it ‘til you make it” isn’t the best advice
