Motherhood is such a deep experience filled with joy, grief, love, and learning! Today we talk with a dear friend, Mel Wells. She shares her journey into motherhood and how that has changed who she is now. We talk about how the grief of losing who we were before motherhood is a normal transition to experience. We discuss her son’s stay in the NICU, how she coped with that and how that affects the way she shows up as a mother today. Mel shares with us how she overcame an eating disorder and learned to love her body before becoming a mom and how that played such a positive role in her journey. We also talk about how social media, and other people's expectations take a toll on us. Let’s be more kind and accepting of each other as mother’s by creating a safe space for bonding and support. We are all just doing the next best we can. Join us for a real, raw discussion about some of the most sensitive topics in motherhood.
