We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, but God made His sinless Son Jesus Christ the sacrifice for our sins.  "He made Him who knew no sin become sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!"  What a glorious truth that is, and what confidence it brings when we recognize our identity in Jesus.
