The Seacoast Podcast: Things You Won't Hear On Sunday

85 - A Story of Sexual Abuse and Learning to Forgive

Seacoast Church

A real-life story, representing a topic that feels better not to think about.  But when there are so many victims,  a continued discussion is warranted.

Every 68 seconds, an American is sexually assaulted.  (pause to think)

Justin Woodbury joins the podcast as a speaker and advocate for survivors of emotional and sexual abuse.

When he was a child, he was taken advantage of, by a woman at his church.  His story is covered in his book, “Sheltered but Not Protected: Learning to Love, Forgive, and Heal After Emotional and Sexual Abuse.” The following is a snapshot of Justin’s journey.  It’s a story that almost ended in complete ruin but at the hands of a great savior, has been and is being restored.
