So, Aaliyah, we are so excited to have you on today because you are one of my favorite TikTokers to follow. You pop up in my feed all the time and your girl is all about manifesting. I have manifested so many amazing things in my life, including living in beautiful San Diego, meeting my husband, like the list goes on and on, you know, working with
the best of the best having this podcast, all of it is because of manifesting. So every time you pop up my feed, I'm like, she gets it. And not only does she get it, I'm still learning from her all the time. So that's awesome. This is really, this is really just for me guys. Sorry. The next 35 minutes, clever crew is really for me. Info session. So why not? What, what led you to where you are today as a
law of attraction coach? Is that the right thing to call you? What do you call yourself? Yeah, I called myself a coach for a long time. I guess still a little bit of a coach, but I think of myself more as a teacher these days. And it's been a long journey. So what got me originally into it, like a lot of us, I think 14 years ago, 2011, it was I was stressed like everybody else and having panic attacks and brain fog and
I was sent a video and just like with one video drank the Kool-Aid and was like, I don't really have another strategy for life. And I don't know if I can do this one, but I'm just going to die trying. And I'm just going to put all my eggs in that basket and go for it. And it's been quite a wild ride since then. Back 14 years ago, what were you doing in life at that time? Like what was your, what were you doing for work? What were you doing? Was it personal life? Like tell us a little bit about that.
Yeah, sure. So I had just gotten an MBA in California and I was living in San Francisco and I was working at a clean tech startup company in downtown San Francisco. And I had a partner and I had my house on the hill with panoramic views. And I was surely doing everything I was supposed to be doing all the shoulds. gosh, you guys, was like, you know,
You go to the office and time flies by and I wasn't happy and you just, the energy builds and builds and builds and it really culminated when in my office in San Francisco, I hallucinated an earthquake that nobody else experienced. And I later realized that was a panic attack and I'm just not doing very well. that's kind of what kicked me onto this pathway.
because you get your MBA and you have your six-figure job, you have your house in San Francisco, yet you're miserable and still feel broke and see no path forward. So when I learned about these principles of manifestation, energy, and emotions, I was all in. But of course, takes a long time. So the first couple of years, wasn't mad. When I say obviously we...
We know that we're all manifesting all the time, matter what. Manifesting is just the word for this phenomenon that happens when anything in your life is showing up as a reflection of your energy. So we're always manifesting. So when I say, I'm manifesting or not, it's really like whether I'm intentionally doing it, like intentionally setting my energy. And so for the first few years, I was watching the videos, I was consuming the information. I was like brainwashing myself, but did very little of the actual work.
that everybody was teaching in the videos. And so there's just kind of this large chasm between like learning and understanding this stuff and then doing this stuff and living this and like building a momentum of becoming self-aware and shifting as often as possible. So that for me was solid like three or four years before, maybe five years before I really had my sit down. It was like, Aliyah, you sound like a teacher. I sounded like a teacher back then, you guys. sounded really good back then.
Yet, I didn't have the money and I wasn't happy. And I was like doing some things. I had gotten into my wine business. I had gotten out of my job, but still brain fog, anxiety, debt, not feeling good. A lot of my problems actually were intensified in the beginning because I was trying to manifest things rather than emotions back then.
So I just clarify that for a lot of people and a lot of my clients these days, some of them have been listening to the videos for 10, 20, 30 years and they spent that much time learning but not really sitting down and doing. And I just want like to call out that that's super normal, that there's like a certain amount of this stuff you have to consume before you're like mentally ready to do it. If that makes sense.
Yeah, absolutely makes sense. What do you think are some of the triggers or catalysts for someone to decide that they're going to stop just listening and start actually applying? Does something happen before that transition? Is there a common experience? know, I don't actually know that. I have not identified.
a pattern. is more like somebody I think everybody experiences in their own way this like, it's got to be now sensation like it can't be later. So yeah, it's like enough's enough. Or just like, I'm ready to do it. Or maybe life got bad enough, where you're just finally like, oh, I really like, I don't have any other good ideas. So I remember the day I was just like, oh, yeah, like, like,
You know, and so why don't you do it? And then I, at that moment, I didn't just then walk away. I sat down and basically said, Aliyah, you're not going to stand back up until you do what you have learned in the 5,000 videos you have watched. So I remember I sat down and I was like, okay, wait, what do I do? Wait, what am I actually supposed to do? So I sat down after years of learning to actually do it. And there was this weird thing where at the same time I knew, but I also didn't know.
And so for me, the main thing that happened in that moment was just, I got this like Abraham Hicks quote in my mind. You cannot live a new life with an old story. And I, I really understood that. And I knew what you were supposed to do with that. So I said, okay, I'm going to do it. First of all, what is my story? Like you can't really shift something unless you are familiar with what it was. So I took a piece of paper the long way. I folded in half and on the left half, I started just, I just asked myself.
How do I, what do I say to people all the time? How do I explain myself? Like if I was up to coffee with a friend and they were like, Hey, how's it going? What would I say? And what I would say was something like, I'm so stressed. I'm still in debt. I'm not making money. I don't know how to make money. I am working too much. I can't think. I don't feel productive. I'm not sure what to do. And then in writing that out, it's like, wow, I actually think and say this and hold the energy of this story all day long.
So I'll no wonder why, well, no wonder why my life is the way it is. And so knowing that I can't have a new life with that narrative, I decided to shift that narrative. Now there's like this really important part of this shifting the narrative, which is you can't say bullshit. You can't trick yourself into it. can't, this is not, you may hear other people say this, you don't fake it till you make it. You don't just pretend like you have this stuff already. That doesn't work. Your brain will call your BS and then you know what happens?
you activate doubt. if all of a sudden you have been like thick in, don't have enough. And now all of a sudden you're supposed to say some positive mantra affirmation like the money's coming, the money's coming. That doesn't feel good. Your body does not accept that. It feels, makes you feel worse because what actually happens is you have this visceral reaction that says, no, it's not. Or what if it doesn't? Or I doubt it. And now you're doing positive affirmations and mantras and you're actually activating the opposite.
So you can imagine, yes, if you're starting off over here, over here, like at the bottom of the emotional scale and like deep frustration and anger, you can't just skip ahead to like knowing, thriving, enjoy, enjoy. You have to kind of micro shift your way along and cruise through the spectrum of emotions so you can like solidly get somewhere else. And so with rewriting, cause that's what I call this activity of like getting really up close and familiar with what your narrative is.
then you need to rewrite it, but you need to rewrite it gently. You just want to unlock yourself from jail. You're not trying to convince yourself the money's coming, the business is growing, the relationship, the body, whatever. We're not trying to convince ourselves that that is happening. What we're trying to do is unlock ourselves from the jail of, don't know what to do, I'm so stressed, I don't have enough, what am I supposed to do? And so if you approach rewriting saying, look at every single one of those sentences,
with the idea of, me just shift this five or 10 % more positive. What is another truth I actually already know, but isn't dominant? So then your rewrite to shift your narrative to unlock yourself from the jail might sound like it may not, it's probably not gonna sound like the money's coming, the money's coming. I'm like gonna rule the world, da da da da da. It's gonna sound like I'm ready to pivot. I can feel deeply I'm ready to breathe deeper.
I see the patterns my brain has been in. I'm ready to really consider maybe potentially starting to do the work. You see, that's not that positive, but your brain is going to nod along with you. And so whatever you say, you want to make sure it feels good in your body and it's believable. So your body and your energy is accepting this micro shift. So then you're leaning into a story of like, I'm ready to think differently. I'm ready to lighten up.
I don't have to be so heavy about this. I know it's all energy. I know I can play the energy game. I know the past doesn't determine the future. I know that money is an energy. I know I can learn how to practice that energy. I'm on my path. I can feel the pivot. Right. Can you, can you even feel that in your body right now? Like can you feel that? Right. I've just been in here the whole time guys. If you're only listening to audio, I'm just like in awe right now because I.
fully resonate with everything you're saying. I really appreciate once upon a time, I was a nursing school student, Aliyah. And when Candice introduced me to your profile, and I went down the rabbit hole of watching your content, I appreciate how pragmatic and how scientific your approaches to something that is often perceived as woo woo, or a snap your fingers overnight success. I love that you led with I've been doing this for years and I did not see overnight success.
Exactly. Whenever you hear, yeah, just like, yeah, I ran out of money. So I just manifested $80,000. Like, great. That's not my story. My story is a little bit more of a, of a, it takes a little bit of work to become, to identify what are, what is your story, getting comfortable with shifting it, getting comfortable with identifying where you want to go. And once you realize that it's really all about that.
All of sudden the timeline pressure kind of like for me at least subsides. It like, this is me and my energy. All right. Well, it doesn't have to be done in a year. I'm just going to let myself like slowly go through this process so I can slow my train. The analogy people love is you can imagine if a train is going really, really fast to the West, that train can't just all of a sudden go really, really fast to the East. If you wanted that train to go East, you would have to slow your train down.
You have to come to a stop, reverse direction, slowly build momentum, and then be able to gain speed. And our energies are exactly the same way. If we have just spent one, two, three, five, 10 years really in an intense energy, we can't just all of a sudden expect ourselves to be able to go really fast in the other direction.
If we realize this is a process of slowing my train down by being nice to myself and shifting what I'm saying and letting myself off the hook and letting other people off the hook, then I can just simmer this energy down, get to a place of stillness and then get laser focus on what is the essence of where I want to go and how does it feel there?
And so then your kind of re story rewriting work transforms into this practice of seeing, okay, I don't know a lot of the details, but I can see that like, I can see this scenario in 12 months, 24 months where my business is dialed in and like my house is looking great and I'm traveling and there's like money in the accounts and my team is good and guys dialed in and the flow is really good and it just feels like it's the beginning, right?
And man, like if that was the case, I would be like sitting here on my deck drinking my cup of coffee like a freaking rock star. Right. And so you can just take these tiny little details of what you think, where you think you're going and just imagine yourself, well, how would I feel in that energy? would it, how, would be drinking my coffee be different if I had like an amazingly dialed in business with a team of people to support?
And you might answer the question like, well, if my business was skyrocketing and I had a team and felt so good and dialed in, I'd probably be drinking my coffee like a little proud. I'd probably have the smile. I'd probably have a sense of stillness. I'd be excited. And the energy work is the difference between how you drink your coffee today and how you would drink your coffee in two years if you were just crushing life.
And so being able to then brew up the energy of the future today is the work to speed up the train in the other direction.
All of it. guess I don't have to ask any questions. we go. everything. Taking it all in. church right now. I love it. Okay, Aliyah. It's amazing. Thank you for sharing that so much. I absolutely believe in the power of rewriting your own narrative. I want to shift gears a little bit because a lot of your TikToks are about...
specifically manifesting money and addressing maybe money blocks that people have. Can you talk a little bit about what the most common mental blocks around money are and where those maybe come from and why you address them so often?
Yes, definitely. The raw truth is I dress them so often because those are the videos that go viral. People, people love those ones. And so I do a combination of making content based on what people really like. And then I will still make videos on stuff that I like. So I like, I like it all because you use the, yeah, you use the, you use the exact same process if you're doing money or if you're doing health or love or sex or vitality or moving like
It's all the same process. However, money's a great place to start and people love that. And that's really why there's at least, there's probably a lot of videos are not on money, but you're seeing the ones that on money. I love money. I started doing that a long time ago and it's a great place to start. So the most common blocks around money are A, you thinking you have a block, when you don't.
There we go. That's section right there. Right. Thinking there must be something wrong. Like I must be blocking this out is just another version of a narrative or a story. In the time you're spending thinking about you must be doing something wrong or have a block. That's time that could be spent doing this future energy work that I just described. I call that future casting.
So it's kind of like this distraction where you could, you can stay there. You could totally ruminate over that. But the reason why you're staying there is not because it's true. It's because you have established wide neurotransmitter pathways. If you think a thought a billion times over, you have this connection in your brain, these neuron connections that make it super easy to think that thought over again. And so if you have, if you are not paying attention and you were thinking to yourself,
Oh man, it's money is hard, money's hard. There must be a block. I'm not letting it in. It's something about me. All of those things are just neurotransmitter pathways. None of it's real. None of it matters. They're just neurotransmitter pathways. And so when you wake up in the morning and you have these little neurotransmitters that they want to do something, they just go down these wide established thought pathways that have just been practiced. And then when you do that, you then have the result of the
emotion associated to that story or neural pathway and then it's that emotion that is now manifesting the continuation of proof that that is the situation. So if you wanted to identify anybody's money block, you would ask them, hey, how do you feel about money? And whatever they say after is the quote unquote block.
which is just a thought, is just a neurotransmitter pathway, which is just a narrative, just a story, just an explanation that can be shifted five or 10 % in the other direction to unlock you from that reality. So then let's say you do this activity. So let's say you do this, you identify what you have said, you gently shift what you have said. Here's the thing, don't be fooled because now your rewrite, the thoughts, the stories, the lines you just rewrote, those are like,
Tiny little baby neurotransmita pathways, you guys, okay? It's kind of like if you were to like plant a garden, barely there, barely there, right? You go outside, you like plant a garden, you get some dirt, you throw a seed in there, in the dirt, that seed's not gonna grow unless it is watered, unless it is cared for. And so these rewrites are only as good as you are willing to get reps in and as willing as you're allowed to practice these.
and even more so feel the energy of those, right? We already did, we already kind of did a little rewrite earlier. You could feel the energetic difference. Now that needs to be fostered. So you say, okay, great. I'm gonna just, I now have this rewrite. I'm now going to repeat this. I'm gonna have this 20 minute period of time in the morning where I have tea and I have a good playlist and I'm gonna just sit down and like read this and feel, and then like really brew and foster this energy in your body.
Now you get to take that into your day. So you start doing this for a couple of days in a row, maybe a week or two. And as you do this, your energy literally levels up to that rewrite. within a couple of days, couple of weeks, that rewrite usually gets boring because that is now your energy. And that is then when you would then rewrite up again, another five or 10%. So it's kind of this continual process of being aware of your thoughts and reaching for the next
best available thought, meaning that might only be something five or 10 % more positive. And it's this methodical, repeatable process that you can just completely depend on until you're narrative. And then as you do this, now you're manifesting different things. Now you're manifesting proof. Now you're feeling it. Now you're seeing the little things. So now you can say it even more. Now you can say it even more. You have momentum. And next thing you know,
You're like, damn, like things have really turned around. I can feel it. I'm seeing it. have these new ideas. I Google new things. People are popping into my life. New projects, new product, da da da da da. And next thing you know, it's like a year or two later and people are like, how did you create what you've created? And the answer is always, became my number one priority in life was to monitor my thoughts and my emotions and shift. And what I've been doing for a year or two, like my life depends on it.
is energy aligning, managing my energy up and then taking inspired actions. Managing your energy up, taking it. Now, if you manage, if you have this to-do list, let's say you have a to-do list, there's 10 things on there. In low energy, you feel like doing the nine things that don't matter. This is really important. This is how, this is how, this is how you can manifest more and work less. So you have this to-do list, 10 things, you're super stressed out. So in your stress out energy, you think it's really important to do one to nine.
So now you're efforting every single day, you're trying to do one to nine, and maybe you get one to seven done and now you feel guilty because you didn't get to nine, all this energy, right? And none of it was the magic. Now, when you decide every single day, there's nothing more important than managing my energy up. And so then in the morning, you're not, you're refusing to go into your day unless you have an energy you would like to feel every single day, then magically you feel like doing the only one thing that matters.
And then you just don't feel like doing the nine things that the, and that is the universe's way of telling you where to spend your time. What do you feel like doing when you're in high energy? It's magic. My to-do list, my daily plans look drastically different depending on if I scope them out before or after my energy, energy work. Yep. Okay. So much, so much goodness. I, and for those of you guys listening in and watching, like they're
Again, I'm going to make another like nursing school reference. They talk about how like learning a new language builds new pathways in your brain. Writing with your non-dominant hand builds new pathways in your brain. This is the same scientific fundamentals. Like I just, I'm like so nerding out and like brand crushing on you right now, Aliyah. I just, had to acknowledge that. Candice, thank you so much for discovering Aliyah or the TikTok algorithm. Thank you, TikTok. know I'm not supposed to that, but thank you, TikTok. So Aliyah, in your TEDx talk,
you discussed self-sabotage and how that comes up oftentimes when people are trying to manifest money or manifest anything really. But can you talk a little bit about how self-sabotage plays a role when you do get started with manifesting? Self-sabotage is nothing other than old neurotransmitter pathways still being dominant.
So again, I don't think this is like this deep concept we need to spend a lot of time talking about because also energetically, the more we talk about self-sabotage, the more we're co-creating self-sabotage. So we don't really want to be activated and have conversations around self-sabotage. We want to have conversations around energy alignment, energy alignment, energy alignment. And so if there is a scenario where self-sabotage does seem to pop up, you want to let yourself off the hook and just go back to these few basics, which is...
what is a narrative you have? So let's say you feel like you did something, you screwed something up. So then you're like, my God, I did this. I can't believe it. I'm stressed out. What's going to happen? Great. Now we have another narrative to just shift up. So in the beginning of this work, people's rewrites tend to be longer because they've never done this before, right? So they'll have this whole story about whatever childhood, da, da, da, da. But then like, let's say a couple of months goes in and you've cleaned that up maybe six months a year, whatever it is.
Every single day, there's still usually an opportunity to take a look at what's going on in the brain and shift it. Even for me, I might still wake up like, man, I have so much to do today. What, like, how am going to get all this done? I'm not really sure. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And that might be true. And it might not even be the worst energy, but do I want to live that energy every single day? No. So I will might just do a five minute exercise in the morning to just ask myself kind of the same question. If somebody asked me,
or coffee, hey Leah, how's it going? Whatever I say default is an opportunity to shift. So I will still do this exercise almost, you know, I do my energy work every single day and then every once in a while, depending what's going on, I might have a narrative that needs to be shifted. But it's a couple of sentences. It's kind of just like a daily thing. So this concept of self-sabotage, I would really say is just like your old energy pulling you back.
And so to do the big initial work of like rewriting and slowing your train down and speeding it up in another direction is kind of like, it's almost, it's like a battleground. Like, let's not pretend that this is easy in any shape or form because you have, what we have is these old energy momentums, wide neural pathways that do not want us to go. And so it is kind of this, like this intense mental energy thing that we're doing in the beginning to be like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
So anybody who feels like they're self-sabotaging, I want to say go easy on yourself. It's not what it seems. It's just what happens to all of us when we are trying to buck old energy currents.
And I think what comes to mind for me when you were talking about that just now is the idea that our brains are hardwired to keep us in more of the same, more of the familiar, not necessarily healthy, right? Not necessarily well, not necessarily regulated, but whatever's been the same, the brain is like, let's stay here. It's known, it's familiar, it's safe, not healthy. And so it's like having to push yourself or nudge yourself. I like that you say gentle, just 5%.
5 % in the other direction, % here, 5 % there, that's it. And then the brain's like, it almost kind of like lowers our defenses. You it's not like charging into the unknown. It's just like sipping the toe in the water and then your foot and then your leg, right? Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. It's just looking for a little relief. That's kind of the, one of the hardest things I see people go through is then they conceptually understand what I'm saying and they might even be able to sit down and list out what the bullet points or the elements of their current story.
then usually the sticky part is then saying, I was like, I don't know what else to say because this narrative is so ingrained. I can't even fathom another way to say this, but there's always a billion other ways. so, and if somebody, my clients are able to come in and get a lot of help with that, but you don't need that. can definitely do this on your own. I just want you to go really easy on yourself and know that, yes, it's super awkward to do this for the first time because you're like,
I don't know what to say. What else am I supposed to say? I've been broke. I don't feel well or something like that. So I invite people to kind of just breathe into it and just even if it's like staring at a piece of paper for 30 minutes pondering how to shift a couple of lines, it's worth it and it will never again be that hard. that's been helpful for me is to like think about how I would
encourage a friend to think about it differently. So just pretending that's not me, looking at the story and being like, the story wasn't me. If this was my friend who was telling me all these things, and I was encouraging her to that five to 10 % shift in thought, what would I tell her? Because that seems so simple. Because when you're on the outside looking in, it seems like so easy to make that shift. Girl snap out of it. Amazing. yeah, like, here, like, can give you 10 things that you can put there that will make sense that you'll actually believe.
Totally. If it's you, it seems like such a challenge. Yes. I think that's a great idea. I think you could totally do this with a buddy and help each other. Now what you would want to make sure, because when I'm rewriting with somebody, will say, I always pose as like, listen, I'm not trying to read your mind. I'm not trying to like be impressive here. I'm just going to get us started. Let me write a few lines and then tell me how it feels. If it feels good, great. But if you're like, Aliyah, this is so far off. No, no big deal. We'll just like take it in different direction.
So then I'll say, okay, cool. So we have, the story, we'll go rewrite a couple of lines and then I'll always check in like, how does this feel? And the correct answer, it should be something like, really good. Like if that is not the response, it's not right. Sometimes somebody like, yeah, I like that. And I'll be like, no, that is not, that is not what we're aiming here. We're aiming to uncle. you, exactly, if you just got out of jail, how would you feel? You'd be like,
Yes. my God. So we're looking for that. If that hasn't occurred, you don't sense that in your buddy, then it's not believable and you need to maybe shift down a little bit. Can you share maybe a daily practice that is a simple step? I know you've given us so many tips already. So many. So many. But a daily practice that our clever crew who are
Many of them are entrepreneurs, building their businesses, building their brands, putting themselves out there, doing new things, feeling kind of nervous about putting themselves out there. That's kind of where they are. What daily practice can you recommend?
Absolutely. So I have two suggestions. So the first one is I call it a two, two, two, because it's two minutes of three different things. So the first would be two minutes of relaxation of some sort. That could be two minutes of meditation. Meditation is a loaded word. We don't have to use that. Could be two minutes of listening to classical music, two minutes of just breathing, two minutes of watching a timer, two minutes looking at a candle, just two minutes to just like
be present. And then two minutes of reading some sort of rewrite or power statement that feels really good. I like to literally put a timer on and like focus on something. And if I read it quickly, I'll just keep re re reading it. So two minutes of essentially widening a new neural pathway, whatever that looks like for you. And then two minutes of this future casting exercise.
where you are starting to take as little detail as possible. I'm not somebody who says, in order to manifest, you need to know everything. You need to scope it out. The color of your cabinets, the color of the house, the da, the biz, like, no, no, no. For me, the less detail, almost the better, because then there's less for my brain to argue with. I like to keep it high level, like dialed in, renovated kitchen, money every month, dinner with my family, whatever that might be.
So two minutes of this like looking in the future and wiggling into like, how would you feel if you were in that energy? So two minutes of relaxing, two minutes of widening a neural pathway and two minutes of playing with future energy. So I think that is a great start. Something you guys probably have. has six minutes. Everyone has six minutes. So no You're allowed to say you don't have six minutes. You're scrolling way longer on every app than six minutes.
So you've got that. Yeah. And then I'm not sure if you guys have come across it, but I have this in my, you know, at the end of the video, I was like, and there's a link in the bio, there's a free abundance meditation. That is as good as I can give you for 20 minutes. I recorded that to create as much magic as possible. And that abundance meditation, people email me all the time saying it was the first time they felt it.
tears were streaming because they really understood the energy work for the first time. So it's 20 minutes where I can really walk people through actually sitting there and building up that abundance energy for things off the topic of money and the topic of money. I would, and that is easy because you're just listening and I'm kind of guiding, guiding you through it. So I'd say either one of those things is incredibly powerful to fold in. We'll definitely put that in our show notes for our clever crew to, to Follow you and grab.
All right, Aliyah, well, before we get to one of our favorite parts of the episodes, our rapid fire questions, I do have one more question for you and all the goodness you've shared with us. What are some other ways in addition to downloading that audio guided visualization that people can work with you if they're curious to take some next steps? Yeah, absolutely. So if you were curious on taking some next steps, if you are just looking to do this on your own, then I would say.
Binge the videos and choose a couple where you're like, I'm actually gonna do these and like transcribe them, write the instructions down and really dive into doing it. Generally speaking, all information is free. I'm one of those people where I say, let me make my free information better than other people's paid information. And then the difference between...
The difference between working with me and not working with me is that if you're working with me, then you get, you know, hand holding, personalization, community, all of that stuff. So I, what I, what I don't want to do is be like, the only way to make this work is work with me. No, you can absolutely go spend an hour, binging some videos, choosing three that you're like, I want to execute this blocking off two hours on a Sunday, sitting your butt down and doing it. That's, that is a fine way. However, if somebody wanted to maybe have some hand holding.
Then I would say sign up for one of the breakthrough calls that is offered if you're on my email list or also the link, the link tree link in my bio on Tik TOK or Instagram. And that is an amazing call. It's not with me. I don't do those anymore. I have two senior clarity coaches who facilitate this really beautiful life changing call. is amazing whether or not you end up working with us. And then if both people feel like, wow, this is like a really good fit, then you can learn what it looks like to work with me. And I really only work with people in one capacity these days.
I love a coach who says, use my free information first, use it. You can get value out of it. And then if you're interested, like that is just, it's very authentic. It's very ethical, very transparent. So I really appreciate that. know Candace does too. We were actively telling clients like, give it away. They'll still want to work with you. They'll find a way. They'll beat down that door if they want to work with you. Right. You can't stop the right clients from finding you. Right. Oh yeah. There's always people who are going to want it.
There's certainly no sense of like I get less clients because I share everything. Definitely not. That's how people then know. Yeah. That's how people know that. It's really good. That's why I got a lot. My clients are very probably 80 % of them are business owners. They're very dialed in. This is not like the side of the stuff. very people, very, practical and dial dialed in. yeah, I love having coaches. don't, I,
I think that generally when you're building something you have never built before, it's crazy not to have a coach. And so it's really good to set, it's really good to have, do energy and mindset first. So you're kind of, you're able to pull energy from the universe to execute everything the business coaches tell you to do.
because I've seen so many times people sign up for tactical business coaching, but their energy is super messy. So it's really hard for them to execute. don't, they don't implement, right? There's no bandwidth. There's no space to breathe, to like do it's, yeah. Candice and I have seen that time and again. Yeah. And so I have, I have business coaches and that's how I know, because I see people come into this program all the time and it's hard to execute a lot of that for, hard for people to execute some of that stuff. However,
There could be, in my opinion, there's nothing better than always having a coach. And I just can't imagine there being a time when I don't have a coach who's just telling me exactly how to do whatever is up next in my life that I've never done before. Yeah. Love it. All right. So we've now come to the rapid fire portion of the episode. Well, caveat this was saying there's no
good or bad answers, just want the first answer that comes to mind for our clever crew here to listen in. So, what was one of your childhood nicknames?
Childhood nickname, the first thing that comes into mind is my cousin who used to just call me Wea. W-E-A. It was really cute because little kids can't say L, so that would be the name little kids would call me. I love it. When your energy is not always perfect, what is the go-to lazy dinner that you go to when you just have had a day? Probably order in Thai food. Oh, Thai.
Good choice. Yeah. All right. Are you hot coffee or iced coffee? Hot coffee. Hot coffee. Same. What I have to say, I have to say I've swapped out. I've swapped out the morning coffee for this is for bone broth matcha lattes. It's next level protein and matcha. Okay. There we go. All the health and wellness.
I can't imagine what a bone broth matcha latte tastes like. can't even. thinking of a so good. Is it palatable? Really? Salty and... No, it's like vanilla. So, okay, I'll give you the recipe. There's this one brand called... Yeah, there's this one brand called Primal... Okay, here's the recipe. There's this one brand called Primal Bone Broth Protein, and you get a bag of the unflavored and a bag of the vanilla. So in your latte, you take one scoop of the unflavored...
15 grams of protein, half a scoop of vanilla, seven grams. And then you put in a half a teaspoon of matcha, a little ghee, a little salt. And then I like to do nutmeg, hot water, a little almond milk. This is just like the most delicious vanilla matcha latte you could imagine. No bone broth flavor. And you're, okay, no bone broth flavor. And you're starting off your day with all that protein. Like that sounds like a win. Yeah. It's a win.
Huge wins. I love it. Okay, I'm so glad we're recording this. Okay. Resume rapid fire. Aliyah, what makes you nervous?
What makes me nervous? Probably public speaking. She's a TEDx speaker. that's funny. You have no idea. have no idea what energy work went into me keeping it cool on that stage. But I love that. I love that you're honest about that because it's so many people desire that but think they can't ever have it because they are, you know, nervous to speak in public. And so I love that you're just
telling him, hey, I was nervous about it and I did it anyway, is it? Yeah. It's great. No, I literally, as recently as June, when I spoke on stage, I was doing some grounding exercises with my eyes closed behind the curtain before they called my name and I opened my eyes and one of the coordinators was there watching me and I was like, I was like, I'm ready. And she's like, okay. And then I just went out and it was like, you you got to go inward and just ground and then Yeah, totally. Okay. Last few questions for rapid fire. Who is your celebrity crush?
My celebrity crush is Francis Mollman, is, he must be like 80 year old celebrity Argentine fire cooker on Chef's Table. Chef's Table, oh my god. Is your spouse a chef? I don't have a spouse right now. Oh, just was in a conscious decoupling about a year and a half ago. But I do that, so I ended up, I do a lot of cooking, I do a lot of fire cooking because I became obsessed.
So cool. Kat's partner is a chef. So yeah, that was me. That was me. Lightweight projecting onto you. So I apologize about that, but I'm so glad that you know, love that. Oh yes, I love that. And it's good for you for having a chef partner. All right. Last question. Um, apropos, what was the last thing you brought online? You bought online. Oh, the last thing I bought online was probably.
probably some sort of girly dresses for my four year old. cute. That's about it. Yeah. All right, Aliyah, we have come to the end of our time together today. can't thank you enough for spending time with us and our clever crew and giving us so many gems away to them just freely.
