Matt Richert
The son of a radio program director, Matt grew up in Chehalis, WA steeped in music. After graduating from UW, Matt eventually followed in his father's footsteps as a broadcaster. He spent two decades as a radio sports director in Oregon and now provides radio & TV play-by-play for the minor league baseball Hillsboro Hops and Portland State Vikings football and men's basketball. Matt's music retail experience includes stints at Borders flagship Buckhead store in Atlanta, Seattle's downtown Borders, Circles in Phoenix and Wherehouse's U-district location in Seattle. In '90 Matt began working at Silver Platters in North Seattle and it was there he befriended podcast co-host Sheryl. Matt currently resides in Hillsboro, OR with his wife Julia, son Cooper and various pets. He still loves listening to music on those shiny aluminum discs and his favorite hobby is thumbing through racks and bins at various record shops and thrift stories looking for new treasures on his many travels.
