Sheryl Batt

Sheryl grew up in suburbia in Auburn, WA. She was a natural athlete and excelled at many sports, ultimately receiving a volleyball scholarship to U of Idaho. However, college sports was not her destiny so she returned to the Seattle area and began her music retail career, eventually ending up at Silver Platters in '91. This proved to be serendipitous as she met her future husband, Mike (who was the buyer at the time) and her podcast partner, Matt at Silver Platters. Sheryl and Mike married in '94, eventually took over the Silver Platters chain and continue to run three stores to this day. Sheryl has been music obsessed since she was introduced to the The Beatles by a friend in 5th grade. She bought a '66 Ludwig Ringo drum kit in her early 20s and has been playing ever since, currently with the cover band Gray Area. She's still a Beatlemaniac and loves Pete Townshend and prog rock. She and Mike reside in Kirkland, WA with their 2 children Townsend and Johanna and Toller Acadia.
