Yura Movsisyan, Pro, Parent, Owner
Today I interview Yura Movsisyan, 2009 MLS Cup Champion with Real Salt Lake and now current owner of Lions United FC. Hear about Yura's youth in Armenia vs moving to the United States at age 12. Hear about his determination as an immigrant to become a professional footballer and what it took to get him there. Getting drafted number four in the MLS draft and becoming a professional at a young age.
Yura played for Kansas Wizards (now Sporting Kansas City), Real Salt Lake, Randers in Denmark, Krasnador and Spartak in Russia, RSL, Sweden, and Chicago before retiring. He is now focusing on being an owner and a parent. Here about his experiences moving from player to parent of a player and his advice for parents and players today.
