Think Out Loud With Me

E14: TOLWM + January Riggin x Recovering, Healing, Loving Out Loud

Natalie P. Season 2 Episode 14

The last time I saw my guest, January Riggin, was 30+ years ago in our tiny li'l hometown, and I'm fucking grateful to have the chance to #THINKOUTLOUD with this survivor, author, non-profit founder, and badass human in episode 14. It's time to #getreal.

January's new book, Dark Side of the Moon Child, is her truth of long-term recovery. She is a survivor of sex trafficking, domestic violence, addiction, and the criminal justice system. She's mom to a 22 year old, and she'll soon be a grandma, too! Driven by "street-level passion," she founded #SOAP2HOPE, an SLC nonprofit that advocates for women, men, and teenagers who have been sexually exploited and sex trafficked.

She's on my cast on purpose, and I invite you to listen in. It's fucking raw, my mic is wonky, and who the hell knows how to end these casts with any sort of...and who really fucking cares, like really? It's messy ON #PURPOSE.

Fuck. I'll get to the fancy shit.

In the meantime, #THISSHITMATTERS
