Feeling drained and disillusioned by the toxicity of the work culture which she was  immersed in, it seemed that joy and purpose were simply unattainable for Maria Pouroullis Carpenter. That's when she began her journey of becoming a fearless leader on a quest to transform work environments and help others find fulfillment in their careers. Her journey as a business strategist and leadership mentor is truly inspiring, and in this episode, we dive deep into her story and the valuable lessons she's learned along the way.

Maria candidly shares her personal experiences navigating toxic work environments, and how she's managed to create a healthier, more fulfilling work life for herself and her clients.

In our chat we explore the importance of leading with self, leading with clarity, and leading others in revolutionizing the way we approach our work environment. Additionally, we discuss the concept of choosing joy in work and how a perspective shift can create a more adventurous and joyful life.

Finally, we delve into the power of empowerment and mindset shifts for both our personal and professional lives. Maria  shares her experiences with cold plunging in the Cape Town ocean, as a way to prove to her mind she can do hard things and to receive the benefits of nervous system regulation.

This episode left me feeling inspired to embrace self-reflection, courage, and an authentic approach to taking on new challenges.
