In this introduction episode former host Crystal Simeoni talks to new host Elizabeth Maina to catch up on what has been happening since we last heard from the Djali Podcast.
We introduce our first series which will provide a sharp analysis and critique of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). Exploring to what extent the AfCFTA in respect to the issues of focus, uses a feminist/gendered approach in articulating problems and solutions. As well as consider tangible alternatives that would make the AfCFTA work better for African women in specific thematic areas. The series will be based on the collection of papers commissioned by the Nawi Collective on the AfCFTA from a Pan African feminist perspective.
