Jun 26, 2024 Season 3 Episode 9

Friends, Lovers, Listeners. Happy Wednesday, Happy Hump Day, and Happy Sex on the Peach Day. This is the last Sex on the Peach that will air during Pride month, and I think today is a very important episode. Gender identity and expression are topics of growing importance and understanding, however, the experiences of transgender and non-binary individuals are often misunderstood or overlooked. Today, I am genuinely so very honoured to be joined by my friend Radclyffe Baker, to discuss their personal journey as a member of the trans and non-binary community, after being assigned female at birth. In this episode we will dive into their experiences, discussing the challenges and triumphs they’ve faced, the importance of representation and visibility, and how we can all contribute to a more inclusive and understanding world. Thank you so much for all of your questions that were sent in for today’s episode - I truly learned so much from today’s conversation with Radclyffe, and I am in awe of how articulate, and also how gracious they are when discussing the lack of understanding that still very much persists. I really hope, for anyone in the trans or non-binary community, or for anyone currently questioning their gender identity - that this episode provides a very safe space for you, and for anyone else who wants to learn to be a better friend, a better ally to those in the trans and non binary communities - that you take as much from this episode as I did, and that it inspires you to want to learn further. Pride month isn’t just glitter and rainbows, it exists for a reason, and the struggle for equality and acceptance is, unfortunately, still very much ongoing - especially so for the transgender community, who face an abhorrent amount of injustice and discrimination. It is no small feat to come and speak as openly and vulnerably as Radclyffe has today, and I am forever grateful to them for letting us in the way they have today. So, let’s get into it. Here is, Pride, and Prejudice.

Sex On The Peach is a completely inclusive, open, judgement free zone. However you identify - both in your gender and sexuality, whatever race, age, size, ability, religion you are - everyone is welcome here, and I hope that at some point in an episode we will touch on something you can relate to and resonate with.
