In this episode, I'm back with Ken Duggan of Pillar to Post about the Home Inspection process. Ken purchased the franchise back in 2017. Within the time frame he’s owned the franchise, it’s been listed as part of the top 25 franchisees from over 500 franchisees in Canada and the US. With three inspectors on their team covering the entire DFW area, they’ve completed over 5000 inspections.
We talk about what is and is not included in a home inspection. A home inspection is so important when buying a home, as it tells the buyer the condition of the home at that point in time. Even when purchasing a new build, it is important to get the home inspected because sometimes things get overlooked or shortcuts get taken.
Home inspectors are responsible for collecting the information and making recommendations when presenting it to the person who hired them. What that person does with that information is completely up to them. Home inspectors won’t release the information to anyone else unless there is a dangerous situation.
