EP 5: No- We Aren't All A Little Autistic
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
In this episode Heather & Kerissa discuss the diagnostic criteria of autism. We dig deep into the autistic experience. Explain and give real life examples of autistic characteristics. We use our lived experience plus diagnostic criteria to explain that a person cannot be "a little autistic" and that everyone is not "a little autistic".
Heather & Kerissa cannot diagnose anyone. This is for informational purpose and to help bring a deeper understanding of autism and the autistic experience.
In this episode they do not discuss characteristics found to make up the Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) autism profile.
Information on the diagnostic criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder can be found here: https://www.cdc.gov/ncbddd/autism/hcp-dsm.html
Make sure to subscribe and join us as we have in-depth and real discussions around PDA and the autistic experience. We share from an authentic and real perspective.
We offer connection, co-regulation & community. (And a few laughs!)
