Speaker 1:

New, new, new, everything new, new, new, new, new, new, everything new. I'm ready to go, ready for more. Hello, it is Stephanie L Harrison and you are now listening in to Inside Beauty Inspires, where we motivate, encourage and inspire through biblical principles. I want to give a huge shout out to my listeners. Thank you guys for rocking with me. Thank you guys, my listeners. Thank you guys for rocking with me. Thank you guys for listening. Thank you guys for supporting this ministry. It means so much to me. You know also want to shout out the ladies of ISI. You guys mean so much to me as well. I'm going to always shout out the ladies of ISI, and ISI means iron sharpens iron.

Speaker 1:

We get up each and every single morning, we see God's face and we get into this word, and so, because of these things that we do, we see how we're growing, we see the growth, and so I think it's important for you guys to understand the importance in seeking God's face every single day. Okay, this is not just a go to church on Sunday and live all kind of crazy throughout the week and then go back to church on Sunday and do it all over again. No, this is something that you have to do. The word tells us to meditate on the word day and night. You know he says to pray without ceasing. So he gives us the instructions.

Speaker 1:

This is a book of instructions and, you know, for you listeners that have drawn closer to God. Because of this, my heart, I thank you guys, and more than anything, to God be the glory, because I know that your life will change. You will have a very impactful life if you listen, if you follow instructions. Not just listen, but you also have to follow what the Word says. So, without further ado, I want to definitely introduce and bring back on to you guys Savannah Grant, my friend. You know she's here. We spoke a little bit last week about some of the struggles, some of the things that's happened since she's been home. Before she did her time and now this is life after. You know you've been out for how long now.

Speaker 2:

Next month would be four months, four years.

Speaker 1:

excuse me, I was going to say four months. No, I knew you four years. Okay, and so you know. Something that I thought was so interesting that we talked about last time was that you knew the word prior to going into the system. You knew your word because you were grounded in that, so that never left you coming out into the I say real world because you know when you're behind bars, you know you can't, you don't see, you don't see how much the evolved. You know the world has evolved. You know we got social media. You know you went in when you were 20?

Speaker 2:

24.

Speaker 1:

24. And so a lot has changed. You know, a lot has changed. The technology, you know, social media everybody can do everything on their cell phones. And so, you know, coming back in to this whole scenery, under the circumstances of getting to know yourself all over again in this world, how has that been? You know, I want to ask that question off top because I know that God's word means a lot to you and I know that that's what you live by.

Speaker 2:

Okay. So coming back into society after being gone for 20 years, for me, I was thinking that society, people that I didn't know was going to be the people that were totally against me. And yes, they were to a degree. You have people on social media that uses social media to throw shade or hide behind a platform and say mean and rude things to you. So for me, coming home, everything had changed drastically and I just took one day at a time, teaching myself all these new things, also teaching myself how to communicate effectively.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Because I had to learn while I was away that and I say this because going into prison, because everything was so profiled, I was on TV and I was always fighting, trying to defend myself. So I had to learn early on. You can't keep fighting. No you can't do your time like this because it's going to be hard. So I had to learn it's not what they call you, but what you answer to Absolutely, absolutely.

Speaker 1:

You know, I can only imagine Savannah, because a lot of people don't know the truth. You know what I'm saying? A lot of people never knew your side of the story and that's why I feel like it's such an important piece of the puzzle to tell your side of the story, because the truth will set you free. That's number one, and the truth always prevails and God gets to vindicate you in front of everybody. That counted you out, that said that you were evil. I've read some of the comments that counted you out, that said that you were evil. You know, I've read some of the comments and you know, of course, me being your friend, me getting to know you, me knowing the truth behind everything. It does bother me, it does make me feel some kind of way, but I also know that those people don't have a hell or heaven to put you in.

Speaker 1:

That's number one, and I also know that they're only going off of the other side of the story. They're only going off of the other side of the story. They're basing their opinions off of the other side of the story, and I think it's unfortunate, and it's really to me. I don't like it at all, but I think it's unfortunate that people tell narratives and they paint these false narratives about who they are at heart, not realizing that your truth is going to be found out. If you were this type of person and you try to cover it up with all of the fluff, it's going to come out. What you're doing in the dark will come to the light, and so that's another reason why I felt like this is such an important piece for you to come and speak your truth and tell your side. I feel like this is the year of exposure. I truly do.

Speaker 1:

Cat Williams, shout out. You know what I'm just saying, cat Williams, open it up for everybody, right? But you know, just keeping it a G, it's the truth. The truth will set you free, the truth will set you free, and so that's one thing that we've been learning more about. Far as the book goes, the Bible, you know, and I always reference the Bible because you know it's a book of instructions. If we get into it and we really take it seriously, then we'll see a different outcome. What do you think?

Speaker 2:

Yes, you most certainly will see a different outcome. So with me coming back home, I always haven't been an effective communicator. So for me, not only just with the public but with my family and things of that sort, I had to learn how to communicate effectively, because you have different forms of communication. You have verbal communication, you have physical communication. You have you don't even have to use language at all Because I've always Nonverbal communication is communication, and so I. You can pretty much tell how I feel, or through my facial expression. Ok, so to me that is a form of communication. So, just practicing the seven ways to communicate, which is being clear and concise, and concrete, correct, coherent, complete, and the last one means so much to me being courteous, because people aren't always courteous.

Speaker 1:

And it's unfortunate, though I think that because the type of world that we live in, you have both parties. You know you have the wicked and you have the righteous.

Speaker 1:

And that's one of the things that I love about the book of Proverbs. You know, when we get into the book of Proverbs, it really breaks down the do's and the do nots. You know it breaks, it gives you an illustration of what it looks like and what it doesn't look like. You know, I want to navigate real quick to this word because I want to read Proverbs 10. We're going to be in the book of Proverbs today because we need wisdom. We need wisdom if we don't have anything, and so that was wisdom. For you to even know that. Hey, I got to change up the way that I communicate because here's the thing these personalities, they're different, they're different.

Speaker 2:

They're different.

Speaker 1:

Everybody's different. And then you don't want to say the wrong thing to offend people. You know and you have to be careful with everything you do, Right.

Speaker 2:

And so, having that wisdom that Proverbs talks about, kind of help, you help us, as a people, navigate through the world with wisdom.

Speaker 1:

Well, here's something that I'm finding interesting. A lot of people go off of secondhand information. They don't know the word. You know and I stress to you listeners, I stress it, I stress it, get into your words. You can download that Bible app on your phone. Just push play, you know.

Speaker 1:

Start in Book of Proverbs. I got my son he's 18, he's going to graduate. I said, look, I'm not going to always be here. I just told him straight up I'm not going to always be here. I don't know when my expiration date is. We all have one, and if I can't leave you anything else, if I can't give you nothing else, I can give you this word. And I started him in the book of Proverbs because I want him to have wisdom. You're going into this world, you're going to be, you know, surrounded around, surrounded by all sorts of kinds of people. You know so. I know you can speak to that as well, because you're in prison. In that environment you spoke on it last week you have all kinds of different spirits. You know, in one place, in one place.

Speaker 1:

So you had to dwell in this. This is how you had to make it. This was the only way that you made it. Was the word of God. Was the word of God? Was the word of God? Wow, Wow. Well, let's get into it.

Speaker 1:

Book of Proverbs, Proverbs 10. So, if you guys are following along here, All right. So this is what the book of Proverbs says. It says the Proverbs of Solomon, and you know the one who slayed Goliath, okay, and so he had a lot of wisdom, although he was outside in the field with the sheep and the bears and the tigers and you know all of the things that he had to end up killing with his bare hands. God anointed him, and so he had something that a lot of people didn't have, and he had wisdom. And he gave that wisdom to his son, Solomon, and Solomon wrote the book of Proverbs. So it says here the Proverbs of Solomon A wise child brings joy to a father.

Speaker 1:

A foolish child brings grief to a mother. Tainted wealth has no lasting value, but right living can save your life. The Lord will not let the godly go hungry, but he refuses to satisfy the craving of the wicked. Lazy people are soon poor. Hard workers get rich. A wise youth harvests in the summer, but one who sleeps during harvest is a disgrace. The godly are showered with blessings. The words of the wicked conceal violent intentions. The godly are showered with blessings. The words of the wicked conceal violent intentions. Let godly are showered with blessings. The words of the wicked conceal violent intentions. Let's get into it. What does the commentary say? What does the commentary say? The commentary says from verses one through six.

Speaker 2:

A proverb is a pity statement about how to make the best possible decision with regards to a particular scenario. Solomon's Proverb in the Bible offers godly wisdom for making choices about everything marriage, parenting, work, money, friends and more. Because Proverbs is an essential manual to help parents teach their children wisdom, it's not surprising that this first Proverbs speaks to how the presence or absence of wisdom in a child's heart affects his relationship to his parents. Excuse me y'all, but that just hit home for me. His parents Excuse me y'all, but that just hit home for me. And it hit home for me because I left a two-year-old child going into prison and I came home to a grown man, so with him living with me and we are getting to know each other all over again, yeah, I see that he wasn't taught a lot of things while I was away.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

And the first thing being wisdom. Absolutely, you know so to me it's imperative for a child to get that early on in life, so they know what to expect out of the world.

Speaker 1:

That's it.

Speaker 2:

Because the world is cruel.

Speaker 1:

Yes, the world is so cruel and they don't care about your feelings, about what you've been through. They're ruthless, ruthless, and you know they're a liar, because the untruth of the matter is, you know, honestly, they're not operating in truth, they're operating out of a lie, something that has been projected upon them, right?

Speaker 2:

Right. So Proverbs goes on to say and godliness, they bring joy to their moms and dads. Foolish children, foolish sons and daughters, however, cause their parents grief. You cannot control the decisions your children will make, but you can, from the beginning, teach them a divine perspective of life so they're equipped to make decisions that glorify God.

Speaker 1:

You see how God is like, right there, he's given it to us. He's given it to you guys as well, because we need this. You know, I didn't know, you know again, I really didn't know that that's what it was going to say, me leading into talking about Tomlin, but it's the truth, it's the truth.

Speaker 2:

And see, that's how you know, right there, you've started early on, absolutely, and he's very wise now, yes, so I can imagine how he's going to be as he gets older.

Speaker 1:

Yes, yes, and not only Tylan Right.

Speaker 2:

Cameron, he's 13?.

Speaker 1:

No, Cameron's 11,.

Speaker 2:

But he has a, but he carries himself An old soul, he, but he cares himself, I also. He's also for real.

Speaker 1:

And so wise already, honey, that boy need to go sit down somewhere.

Speaker 2:

So it does make a big difference when you start your kids early on in life with wisdom, absolutely.

Speaker 1:

So they'll know what to look for. It's important. It's important Adults. Think about the adults who don't have it, that don't have wisdom. They don't have it. Listen, you got to have wisdom in order to navigate. And if you don't have it, ask God. He'll give it to you. Right, you got to have discernment, yes, but if you don't have neither one of these things, you won't know who's saying who. That's right.

Speaker 2:

The world will eat you up alive. Girl, girl, I'm telling you girl, because you can't decipher the God sent From the counterfeit From the counterfeit.

Speaker 1:

And that's you know. When we were in the book of Proverbs in January, that's one thing that the Father highlighted to me, like do you see why it's important to get wisdom? Even though we have read this before, it's like yo, this needs to be something that we go over daily, right? Yes, because it's vital. Vital, that's the essential, absolutely.

Speaker 2:

So it goes on to say these verses address principles of hard work and prosperity. Those who are lazy and who are, let me see I can't see y'all sorry.

Speaker 2:

Those who are illicit means to obtain money would not prosper. So let me read that again so you can get a clear understanding. These verses address principles of hard work and prosperity. Those who are lazy or who is illicit means to obtain money will not prosper. Ultimately, the Lord denies the wicked what they crave, and the idol becomes poor. Crave and the idol becomes poor. Obtain money illegally, and God will oppose you. Sit around playing video games all day.

Speaker 1:

Mom, god speak, father, y'all listening, and you'll go hungry.

Speaker 2:

But know God takes care of those who embrace righteousness and work with diligence. To be blessed is to be happy, and I've never met anyone who didn't want to be happy. The problem is that human beings have messed up ideas about how to become so. In God's economy, god's economy, blessings come upon the righteous. This is on those who seek to live in conformity to God's character.

Speaker 1:

So to those who walk up righteous or walk in the ways of the Lord, they're going to see a total different thing than those who don't. And you know, while you were speaking, illicit. I wanted to look the word up, illicit, just to see what that word means, and it says unlawful, illegitimate, forbidden, banned, prohibited, unofficial bootleg.

Speaker 2:

Anybody that is getting ill-gained money, whether it's by conning people or selling drugs or anything. Any way, that's not putting in the work. That's it. That's it.

Speaker 1:

That's it. That's it. And to me, like you just said something, and when you said it I was like, wow, god, okay, because if you think about it, people are. This is how this world is navigating. The truth of the matter is, we look at the entertainment. You know world things are coming out.

Speaker 1:

You have a masses looking up to these individuals, not knowing exactly what went on behind the scenes. Same thing in coming out, you have a masses looking up to these individuals not knowing exactly what went on behind the scenes. Same thing in your circumstance. You know, and anytime that you obtain wealth by falsifying things or by ill will, this is going to be the results. There's no way around that part, because it's going to be exposed, it's going to happen. That's why it's important for you to get into the word, because the more that you get into the word, the more that you understand how this thing really does work. See, there's no way around that part. You may think you're getting over on me, you might think you're getting over on him, but God sees everything. Most definitely, girl girl, okay, okay, guys. That's way. Girl girl, okay, okay, guys. Wait, because that's what we're talking about. What verse was that?

Speaker 2:

That was chapter 10, 6 through 7.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so I'm picking back up at 7, right? Okay, we have happy memories of the godly, but the name of the wicked person rots away. The wise are glad to be instructed, but babbling fools fall flat on their faces Girl. Read what the commentators say about that Y'all, it's in the word. This is the new living translation verse, if y'all want to know what I'm reading. But it's in the word.

Speaker 2:

So to be blessed is to be happy, and I've never met anyone who didn't want to be happy. The problem is that human beings have messed up, has a messed up ideal about how to become. So which is how to become happy? Right God's economy? Blessings come upon the righteous, that is, on those who seek to live in conformity to God's character. So if you're living trying to take on the character of God, you're going to be happy Absolutely.

Speaker 1:

Am I right? Yes, that's what it's saying. Right, that's what it's saying. Yes, that's exactly what it's saying, right.

Speaker 2:

That's what it's saying? Yes, that's exactly what it's saying. Although we're not a perfect people, but if you're striving to live right by the kingdom of God, by the, word of God, by the word of God, absolutely, you're going to see things totally different.

Speaker 1:

It's going to be a different outcome, no matter what people say, and that's why I love what the word says when it says I use the foolish things to confine those who are wise. I love it Because people don't understand. God uses things that you think are useless. God uses people that you wouldn't think that he would use, like me. I mean. A lot of people look at me like I'm crazy Savannah, because I look so young. I just look. I don't look my age, not to mention know the word you know. On top of that, you know. So they already have this misconception of who I am before I even open my mouth. But then, when I open my mouth to speak, then they understand exactly who I am. They know. Okay, there's something. The first thing that people typically ask is which church do you go to? Like who are you under, not realizing that the truth of the matter is God? God is the one that taught me all of these things. He's the one that instructed me to even get in the Word. Nobody told me to do that prayer call. God told me to do that prayer call. So you know, it's Him, it's all Him.

Speaker 1:

So we're going to pick back up here at verse 9. Now, of course, again, verse 8 says the wise are glad to be instructed. The wise are glad to be instructed and that's pretty much what you were just saying but a babbling fool falls flat on their faces. Verse 9 says people walk with integrity. People with integrity walk safely, but those who follow crooked paths will be exposed. Those who follow wicked paths crooked paths will be exposed. Wicked paths crooked paths will be exposed. People who wink at wrong cause trouble, but a bold reproof promotes peace. So think about what that's saying, savannah. Verse 9, people with integrity walk safely, but those who follow crooked paths will be exposed. Is that not what we?

Speaker 2:

just said yes, absolutely, you're going to be exposed. You may feel like you're on a high horse. You may feel like you are above all. You may feel like, okay, I'm on top of the world, but if you're not doing it the right way, the right way, the right way, you're going to be exposed.

Speaker 1:

It happens to the listen, it's short lived. We're watching. We're watching P Diddy right now. He's, he's very, he's out there A billionaire, and we're watching the fall.

Speaker 2:

You're watching the fall.

Speaker 1:

Because of how you did things, you know you can't get so arrogant? Honey. Pride is the reason why Satan got pushed out of heaven. So you know God takes those things very seriously. I'm going to read this right here. It's in my devotional today and this is what it says Walk securely. It says whoever walks in integrity walks securely. But he who makes his ways crooked will be found out. Exposure is coming to your door. Get ready.

Speaker 2:

You don't know the day, oh, it's coming. You don't know the day or the hour, but listen, it's coming.

Speaker 1:

His word said it will not return. Void, it's coming. It says here, do you have secrets you think nobody notices? Or true nature? Our true nature are exposed when we think nobody is watching, but the effects are obvious, whether we believe it or not. The value of a clear conscience can't be overstated. When your conscience is clean, your sleep is more peaceful, your mind less busy, your steps more secure and your heart carries less fear and worry. You never need to worry about being found out because there is nothing to hide, you can't be blackmailed and your enemies have nothing to leverage against you. Any rumors or gossip formed at your expense will be proven wrong because your character will speak for itself. Dirty little secrets are not worth the trouble. Besides, god always sees he cares too much about you. To let your harm yourself like that, to let you harm yourself like that, anything hidden will be found out. It is better and simpler to live honorable and purely in public and in secret. Keep your conscience clear and get a good night's sleep.

Speaker 1:

And then you know, right here it says Lord, I surrender everything in my life to you. Today I need your help with some things, thank you. Thank you for giving me your strength to overcome, girl. Was that not a word? Was that not a word? Yes, it was, because those who walk securely in the word of God are secure. We're not worried about anything. We're not worried about rumors, we're not worried about what the naysayers say. We're not worried about any of those things because your character is going to speak before yourself.

Speaker 1:

Absolutely you know I think about you even in this aspect. God is so strategic, yo. I mean, I'm telling you he's strategic because when you live God's way, things just hit different Savannah. What is your take on that?

Speaker 2:

So, for me, I'm not a perfect person. No one walking on this earth is Absolutely but do I strive to be what God wants me to be? Absolutely, yes, I do. And I feel like if you wait on God, if you wait on him and you don't get outside of the will of God, everything else is going to follow. It flows Not on our time, but on his.

Speaker 2:

Because, you know what God knows, hears, knows and hears things that we don't know. Yes, he does. While we're trying to rush time and rush things, everything happens in his perfect timing and his perfect will.

Speaker 1:

He's not a day late at all.

Speaker 2:

No, he's not.

Speaker 1:

And you know what I think ends up happening when people get out of alignment. They start comparing themselves or wanting what the next man has. You know again I think back to the entertainment world. You know, again I think back to the entertainment world. You know, I think about how so many people you know aspire to be at a level as a P Diddy or a Jay-Z. You know they want to obtain that success. To the people that are on the bottom, you're looking at that as success, but then you don't realize that there's another side to this story that you don't get to see that you don't get to see.

Speaker 2:

That you don't get to see.

Speaker 1:

And most, people don't get to tell that other side, because of the witchcraft, because of the things that people do to keep them in this place. I mean, you think about the things that they're speaking on right now is being exposed. But this has been happening years and years. I started writing the other day, savannah, and I was just like man, I'm afraid to even try to go back. You know what I'm saying, because you're going to uncover so many different things. That's been going on this whole entire time. Why isn't nobody speaking? Because they're afraid. They're afraid Blackmail, but you don't have to worry about that when you're walking.

Speaker 2:

When you're walking in the right way.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

You don't have to worry about people exposing you or blackmailing you.

Speaker 1:

Absolutely. It's not even a part of your portion Right. But when you do things underhanded or when you take shortcuts in life, you get cut short. You're not going to be able to live that out. So again, we're just reading the scripture, but we're able to tie this to everyday life because this is nature, this is reality. It's every single day and people don't understand how vital this word is. This word is so vital because you learn things of that nature. You learn things it says here in my Bible. It says living God's way.

Speaker 1:

Solomon described a human life as a walk. All people move through life like a walk. Yet not all people walk through life in the same way. Some do so in crooked and perverse ways, while others walk uprightly, and the way in which they walk is influenced not by their aptitude or ability, but by the companion along life's journey those who walk with God, following him into paths of righteousness. Those who do not walk with him follow the ways of the world and the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work, and those who are disobedient. You know, Savannah, to me that's what it comes down to. That's why you have to follow the instructions, because you know, people are trying to get this thing in life right by being deceptive, by being underhanded, and that's just not it. It's not going to be short-lived, it's going to be short-lived. What does the commentary say? Did you already read that? So?

Speaker 2:

the commentary for verses 8 through 10 says Verses 8 through 10 says sadly, integrity is hard to come by in today's culture, but God promises security in the one who lives with integrity. The one who acts honestly and honorably even when no one is watching, receives divine protection. No such safety net exists for the one who perverts his ways. Do y'all hear that? Do y'all hear that? So it's what you do when nobody is watching Girl, but your daddy watching. He's always watching.

Speaker 1:

Wow.

Speaker 2:

So what you think you may be hiding or getting away with with the public, or things of that sort, god is omnipresent, omni, and he knows and sees all. So you can't hide it from him, from the creator. That's the one you should be concerned about. That's the one you need to be scared of.

Speaker 1:

You said what can mere humans do to you? You need to be afraid of the one that can put you in heaven or hell. And I'm going to tell you straight up I have a healthy fear of the Lord. I do. When dad says, do something, I'm going to do it, regardless of whether you think I should do it or not. If he says no, I say okay. You know that's honestly. If I can be honest with you, I know I can. That's how I've lived my life this far. That's how I've gotten this far. I didn't get this far listening to people. I got this far listening to God, because when you have your ear towards him, he's walking with you. Why wouldn't he let you know what's up, right? Why wouldn't he show you hey, don't go that way.

Speaker 2:

He's going to show you.

Speaker 1:

I mean, it's his will. If we go to Ephesians 2, this is what Ephesians 2 says. I'm going to read it here. It says once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins, you used to live in sin just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil, the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God.

Speaker 1:

All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature, we were subject to God's anger, just like everyone else. But our daddy in his rich and mercy loved us so much that, even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. And you got people around here that don't even want to say Jesus, sure won't, you can't, honey. Do you not realize if it went for our Savior, we would not? We were subject to his anger. And listen when you get into the word in the Old Testament yo he wouldn't say Savannah.

Speaker 1:

I'll be talking on the prayer call in the morning. I know I'll be funny, I'll be like did y'all hear what I just said? But it's written. And that's another thing too about this Bible it's a book of adventures. You start reading it you'd be like, no, that just happened last week. How long ago this Bible been written. Okay, let me go here to verse 10. Proverbs 10, 10. It says people who wink at wrong cause trouble, but a bold reproof promotes peace. Verse 11, the words of the godly are a life-giving fountain. The words of the wicked conceal violent intentions, violent intentions. So even what this is saying is the words of the Galilee are life-giving fountain. You find life when you find the word, when you get into the word. That's when your life changes. What does it say in the commentary? Is it?

Speaker 2:

like. Well, the commentary says the mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked conce Holy Spirit. Regardless of how much we shoot off our mouths and say but I just can't help it, we can't control our tongues. You better learn how to control them. Because, guess what the word also says? It's life and death and power in the tongue. That's what a lot of people are and it's certain word. Curses are real.

Speaker 1:

Girl, you took the words out of my mouth. That's why a lot of people are in the situation that they're in right now. You know, they've spoken things over their life, they've said things out their mouth, not realizing that as a man thinking so, is he not realizing that as a man thinking so, is he Not realizing that there is truly life and death? If God said, let there be light, and there was light, then that's power right, that's power. But people don't.

Speaker 2:

He just said it out of his mouth, that's it.

Speaker 1:

But then what you just said, I can't help it, I'm just this way. You know how many people walk around here acting like they did. Let me tell you something when I hear people say stuff like that girl, I'd be like, no, you're not just that way, that's a learned behavior. That's something that you done, picked up along the way. That is not what God's words say. But see, when you're, when you're, when you don't know any better, you know when you're just like shooting off. And that's what the word is, that shooting off at the mouth. Yeah, you know, saying you'll be done, got yourself in a world of trouble, and it's. It's by your own you're. You're the person that got yourself in a world of trouble and it's by your own. You're the person that got yourself in that trouble because you use your tongue. It says here, verse 12, hatred stirs up quarrels, but love makes up for all offenses. Love is patient, love is kind. God is love. What does the commentary say about verse 12? It says it's one thing, to quote a passage like.

Speaker 2:

It's one thing to quote a passage like hatred stirs up conflict, but loves cover all offenses, but it's another to put it into practice. We must realize that our likes and personal preference are relevant. The Bible doesn't command us to like one another. It commands us to love one another John 13 and 34. In the Bible, love is not a giddy feeling or butterflies in the stomach. Love cannot be defined by how we feel. Then Biblical love is measured in sacrificing for the good of others.

Speaker 2:

So for me, because we don't always like everybody right because of their ways and things that they do and how they may have treated you, we still have to have love for our brother and our sister. Although you've treated me wrong, because people haven't always been the best and I haven't always been the best for people or to people. But this is what I do know. I'm not going to treat you in the manner that you treated me Absolutely. Not Me either. And just because I don't like you doesn't mean that I don't love you Absolutely. I just have to love you from a distance. Yeah, because you have to have safety, healthy boundaries when it comes to people.

Speaker 1:

I think that's important. I think the problem, the problem is that people don't have boundaries, and I think when you don't have boundaries, people think they can say do whatever they want to do or say. And usually when you do hold up a boundary or say no, you know it's offensive, that doesn't mean you don't love that individual. You still got much love for people. I mean for me. I have love for everybody, you know, because I can't be a woman of God and not, you know what I'm saying. Love is patient, love is kind. Like how would you call yourself a woman of God and not have love for your fellow brother? You know, I just don't see where that doesn't go along with God's characteristic. He loves everyone, right. But there's a difference though, you know, and I feel like that there's a difference because you do have to place boundaries, you know, around yourself, because people come and they try to take advantage. People, you know, think that they can manipulate you into doing things that you, that they want you to do. And for me, when I feel like we get into this book, when we got into the book of Proverbs, my eyes were opened even wider. You know what I'm saying, because God started revealing things more and more and more, and I feel like you know, when it comes down to the book of Proverbs, he's going to give you the answer that you need, like straight up. So there's no other way around it. It's like you can try to trick the Gucci. If you want, try it. But guess who knows everything your dad. And guess what. We work for your dad, so why wouldn't, why wouldn't he put boundaries there? You know, he says, you know he's the, he's the um. It says he's the, the root, he's the. Well, no, in the bible it says he's the gardener. It says he's the gardener. And you know we have the and he's the one that causes things to grow, right, so it's going to work hand in hand. But I do feel like he puts that there for there to be a separation between the two, because you get a choice Doesn't mean that you don't love that person, right? You know even talks about the Jews and the Gentiles.

Speaker 1:

If you think about it, he came to the Jews. He's my people. Did he stop loving his people? No, absolutely not. He loved his people, but his people didn't see him. His people didn't see him. His people didn't see him in the people that he used. And so when you don't see the God of the universe and the people that he used, what do you think that looks like to him? I mean, what does that look like to you? What does that look like to you when God places that type of spirit, that he has, his spirit, in his son, jesus? Okay, jesus came on the scene healing and showing mighty signs and wonders, and you still have people that didn't believe. So if it was that way then and he's the Holy Spirit what do you think would happen right now? Do you feel?

Speaker 2:

that way today.

Speaker 1:

Very much so. You know very much so, and I think that the only way that we're able to get past that is through the word, is through the word. You know the next thing it says here, verse 12, says Hatred steers up quarrels, but love makes up for all offenses. 13,. Wise words come from the lips of people with understanding, but those lacking sense will be beaten with a rod. Now listen, okay, you spoke about this last week. You did Break it week. You did Break it up. You said the prophet told you not to come back to South Carolina. Yes, he did. The prophet said do not come back to South Carolina, you're going to get in trouble behind a man. Yes, these were instructions from God, from.

Speaker 2:

God, because he don't always come in the form that we think he's going to come. If God can use a donkey, Come on now.

Speaker 1:

He sure did use a donkey Come on.

Speaker 2:

Now. The words speak of prophets and I think I had so much time to sit back and reflect on all the warnings that I got, because God is a loving God, he's a gracious God. Yes, he's a gracious God. Yes, he's a good. He chastises us Like we chastise our children Absolutely. And I got all the warnings, but because of disobedience and there's always a price to pay.

Speaker 1:

Did he stop loving me?

Speaker 2:

No, absolutely not, and I went ahead and just took my whooping like a G Come on now Because I didn't listen, because she a G, because I didn't listen. Yeah, you know, we have to listen to those signs and be able to hear the voice of the Lord. Well, I know that stuck with you, savannah, it did, it always has.

Speaker 1:

You know, because it was like you told me, you told me and I just, but again we talk about that too, because it had to happen. You know it had to happen.

Speaker 1:

It had to happen. You know, we were in the book of what was it? Genesis last week about Joseph and his brothers. Joseph has his dream. He's telling his siblings, by the way, his siblings, his people, about a dream that he had and they get offended and they want to kill him because he has the coat of many colors. Right, he's got all these colors. God favored him. I mean, you know both. God favored him, but his father favored him.

Speaker 1:

They felt some kind of way about this thing. Okay, and believe it or not, you know, when I think about your situation, I think people felt the kind of way about you. You know, you've shared some things with me over the length of our you know relationship and you've always been beautiful, you've always been pretty with this nice shape and everything, and so your fights were a little different from most fights. Your fault because of who you were like, how you looked, you know, because of the attention that you got and AKA jealousy. And it's very real, oh my God, is it real? Jesus Christ, we done heard about so many different stories of going on trips with friends and just playing a huge part in it. You know what I'm saying, and this is Joseph's brothers, right, right, put him in a pit. Now did he fulfill his life purpose Absolutely.

Speaker 2:

Yes, because he had to go through it. And people don't understand when I talk to them and you don't look like. You did that much in prison, that much time in prison. Well, you don't carry yourself, you're not angry, you're not bitter. When your heart is pure and your conscience is clear, say it again. When your heart is pure and your conscience is clear, you won't look like what you've been through Tell somebody.

Speaker 1:

Did y'all hear that when your heart and your conscience clear, you don't. He even says it in the word Savannah, only the pure in heart shall see his face. Yes, so a lot of people aren't experiencing the hand of God on their lives because their hearts are nasty.

Speaker 2:

Your heart posture. Yeah, it starts with your heart posture. Your heart has to be right.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

It has to be.

Speaker 1:

Absolutely. And guess what? Guess who sees it? The truth, the spirit of all truth. Guess what the spirit of all truth is? The Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, he will come and dine with you, he will come and rest on you, he will walk with you. That's how come I know he's real Luke 24, never, ever leave out of me, because he showed himself mighty that day, you know. And so, even when we get into the word you know, or like you said, the prophet told you these things. It's up to us to pay attention, it's up to us to understand what he's saying. But even if we make the wrong step, even if we make the wrong step, the steps of a good man is ordered Absolutely.

Speaker 1:

And his word says all things were to the good of those who love the Lord. So even when you're out of position, you're actually in position, because God will use those things to show people who he is. That's right, it's for his glory, it's for his glory. It's for his glory, especially when you're a believer. When you're a believer, man, some good stuff here, man. Wow. What does the commentary say about verse? Was that 12?, was that?

Speaker 2:

No, no, that was 14. No, no, no, I haven't read 14. Okay, that was 14. No, no, I haven't read 14. Okay, so we're at 13 and 14.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so I'll read 14, and then you do something with it. So verse 14 says Wise people treasure knowledge. But the babbling of a fool invites disaster. Invites it Then wondering why things look the way they look. How did this happen? Well, there's life and death in the power of your tongue. A babbling of a fool invites disaster. What does it say in the commentary?

Speaker 2:

So the commentary says it's amazing how much the Bible says about our speech. If you want to do a study that will challenge and change you, explore what God's word says about your words. Observe a wise man, and you'll find God's wisdom on his lips and a storeroom of knowledge in his heart. Observe a fool, and you'll see someone who's going to take a beating and be destroyed by his own mouth.

Speaker 1:

Well, the verdict is in. I'm just saying, I mean, is that not the truth? Though People listen, this is in the word. Okay, it's in the book of Proverbs. It's not like we're just picking this up out of our heads. He's written okay, your tongue, your mouth. And then you look around at your situation, circumstances and how did I get here? What have you been saying? What have you been speaking?

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Wow, wow, wow, wow. Let's go here to verse 15. It says the wealth of the rich is their fortress. The poverty of the poor is their destruction. The wealth of the rich is their fortress. The poverty of the poor is their destruction. What does it say there?

Speaker 2:

So, it says wealth provides protection, that poverty can't. Throwing away money, then, will only lead to your ruin. But let your bank account, whether large or small, be supplied by honest labor and not wicked gain, because guess what? You're going to lose it just as quick as you got it.

Speaker 1:

Listen, that's what I'm telling people and you're going to keep digging yourself in a deeper, deeper ditch.

Speaker 1:

Well, I hate to keep talking about Sean Combs Pete did it. I hate to keep bringing his name up, but we're watching this happen. It's happening in front of us, like these deals are leaving because the truth is being told, wow. And then when you get into the word, you see that, oh okay. Well, it is literally. It says here, verse 16, the earnings of the godly enhances their lives, but evil people squander their money on sin. Verse 17 says people who accept discipline are on the pathway to life, but those who ignore correction go astray. And you know, when I think about that, I think about people who accept discipline. You know, the Bible says in the book of Hebrews that discipline is unpleasant.

Speaker 2:

Nobody likes it.

Speaker 1:

You know, if you think about working out, you know I'm a fitness trainer, so I get clients that you know they want to train. In the very beginning they look like, oh yeah, I'm a fitness trainer. So I get clients that they want to train. In the very beginning they look like, oh yeah, I'm all in, they're excited. But their bodies are telling them something totally different, because this is something new. So of course, their body's like, no, what are you doing? What are you doing? But in the long run, if you allow discipline to have her place, you will come out on top. You'll come out better than you were. What does the commentary say about it?

Speaker 2:

So the commentary says in 17,. If one has a choice between following a path to life and being lost, who would willingly choose the latter? Yet countless people do this every day, when they reject correction instead of following instructions.

Speaker 1:

How long I've been saying that this is the book of instructions. If we follow, the instructions. That's it, it's simple.

Speaker 2:

Very. It's simple and life could be so easy, girl, if we get out of our own way, mm, mm-mm-mm and follow instructions. You can't bake a cake without following instructions.

Speaker 1:

Girl.

Speaker 2:

You can't put a table together without following instructions. Girl, you can't put a table together without following instructions.

Speaker 1:

Well, you know, you got those people out there that see the table and just get the parts out and just try to put it together. I mean, I'm guilty of it. I've been her Pull it out of the box. I don't need the instructions, let me just put it together. Yeah, you're going to miss something, okay, because you're going to have to go back to the book and that little piece that you thought you wasn't going to need.

Speaker 1:

It's the main piece. It's the piece that holds it all together and that, essentially, is the word of God. Yes, if you allow it to have its place and you follow what it says, you're going to have a good life. There's no other way around it. It's written Right.

Speaker 2:

And even in your unbelief, it's just a matter of speaking it out of your mouth. Yes God help my unbelief that was in the book of Mark I believe.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, he said I believe I believe, but help my unbelief Because it's a real thing. It is real. People want to believe Savannah they. It is real. People want to believe Savannah they do. But I think the problem is that they don't see the evidence of it being real, because the masses are just going by their own thoughts and the Bible clearly says lean not to your own understanding.

Speaker 2:

Well, guess what? If you live long enough, life is going to take you through some tests and trials where you don't have no other choice but to believe God is going to show up and show himself, and you're not going to have no other choice but to believe that he's real, that he's very prevalent Girl, I know this has been my life on countless times, not with just going to prison, wow.

Speaker 1:

But when you have parents that are addicts, okay, yeah and honestly, you know that's a lot of people are going through that part right there, because you know it's just my heart, because they were trying, they were trying, but they put this out here and you know people were trying to find a way of escape, trying to find a way to get over the circumstances in life, and the enemy was waiting right there and to me Savannah. That's why this word is such an important piece of the puzzle. I thank you for your, I thank you so much for your transparency right there, because I think a lot of people can identify with this narrative. I think that this is something that a lot of people don't talk about. I think a lot of people, you know they try to get through it the best way they can, not realizing that these things play a part, a major part, in the childhood or the life of those individuals, those children.

Speaker 1:

You've always had to depend on God. So when it came down to this, I had to depend on God. When my mama passed, I had to depend on God because I had addicts. I had to depend on him. See, people don't know, they don't know, and when they don't know, they can easily get it wrong. They can easily get it wrong. What verse do we got?

Speaker 2:

here, 18?

Speaker 1:

It says hiding hatred makes you a liar, slandering others makes you a fool. Hiding hatred makes you a liar, slandering others makes you a fool. What is that? Or is it 18? And?

Speaker 2:

19? So 18 says a person who heart is filled with hatred experience a catch 22. Either he conceals his hatred and is a liar, or he spreads slanders at spreads slander and is a fool. I'm going to read that again.

Speaker 1:

Please, please, verse 18. Proverbs 10, verse 18, by the way.

Speaker 2:

The person whose heart is filled with hatred experiences a catch-22. Either he conceals his hatred and is a liar, or he spreads slander and is a fool. So it's either or.

Speaker 1:

You want to be a liar or a fool?

Speaker 2:

Or a fool. So it's either or you want to be a liar or a fool, or a fool by your mouth.

Speaker 1:

You might be both. I believe that's a catch-22.

Speaker 2:

Because you can most definitely be both and we can be honest.

Speaker 1:

That is a catch-22. You both are at the same time.

Speaker 2:

At the same time.

Speaker 1:

At the same time A liar and a fool.

Speaker 2:

At the same time, at the same time A liar and a fool. So it's best to say, and I thank God, I thank God that I didn't have hatred in my heart, girl, that I didn't have bitterness in my heart.

Speaker 1:

I thank God too, because that would have been hard for you to even.

Speaker 2:

Yes, you think.

Speaker 1:

I would look and conduct myself in the manner that I do if I had those things in my heart. I think that people need to know that reality of heart posture because certain things like that just aren't a part of your identity. You don't have it inside of you. So you know when people do try to say false things, you know it can hurt Because you know that leads not even to who you are it could hurt, but I thank God that I was grounded and rooted in the Word. Yes.

Speaker 2:

So you have to know whose you are and who you belong to.

Speaker 1:

That's it, that's the only way you're going to be able to navigate.

Speaker 2:

Because if I didn't hearing all of the things that I've heard about me in my inboxes, girl, and then they both Some of them are, but then you have those that hide behind fake pages, or fake personalities.

Speaker 1:

So you a coward in my sight. Well, the Bible say you a fool and a liar, and it's a catch-22. Because you don't know. And if you think about it, you know he's the one that's doing the exposing, because you know. When he say all right, I want you to go to this book, you go to it and then you be like oh okay, dad, he's the one that's doing the exposing. People want to say it's the devil. It's not the devil, no, it's your daddy. It's your daddy. It says here in verse 19,. Too much talk leads to sin. But sensible, be sensible and keep your mouth shut. That's pretty self-sabotage. Too much talk leads to sin, be sensible and keep your mouth shut. That's pretty sub-splatter sort. Too much talk leads to sin, be sensible and keep your mouth shut.

Speaker 2:

You know I've never trusted people to do a whole lot of talking.

Speaker 1:

Me either or fast talking.

Speaker 2:

Because either you're telling a lie or you're trying to get over.

Speaker 1:

Mm-hmm, false talkers are real. I had experience, I told you about that. Yes, straight got and I thank God for the lesson Because there's no losses, it's just lessons. But I thank God for the lesson in that. What does the word say about?

Speaker 2:

verse 19?, verse 19. So it's from 19 to 21.

Speaker 1:

So let me read 20 and 21. And it says the words of the godly are like sterling silver the heart of a fool is worthless. The words of the godly encourage many, but fools are destroyed by their lack of common sense.

Speaker 2:

They don't have common sense. So the commentary says when there are many words, sin is unavoidable. Unavoidable, you can't avoid it. But the one who controls his lips is prudent. In other words, if you don't know how to keep your mouth shut, you can expect sin to flow repeatedly from it. But the tongue of the righteous is pure silver and his lips feeds many. That is, his mouth is valuable to those around him because it builds them up and dispenses God viewpoint like a rich meal Girl. So we have to be careful of what we allow coming out of our mouths. Either you're going to uplift people and edify them or you're going to tear them down. Help or hurting.

Speaker 1:

Help or hurting, and you know, again, I go back to the word because it's written. You know A lot of people don't understand that. It's in the word, you know, and they think that you're trying to be funny. But no, it's in the word. You know we don't play with. Well, I don't play with it. I know you don't play with the word because you had to depend on it the whole entire time and, believe it or not, that's how.

Speaker 1:

That's all I've had to depend on as well you know, I've been through things in my life where I had to cling and I do mean cling to the Word of God. That's why I'm so like. You know, god gives us these experiences and, again, there's no losses, there's only lessons. But in those lessons we learn from each thing. If you take heed to what's happening around you, if you pay attention, god is always speaking, savannah, yes, he's always speaking, just like today he's speaking to us. Right now. He's speaking to his listeners because maybe you've been running your mouth, maybe you've been talking a lot, maybe you've been slandering, maybe you can identify with this character.

Speaker 1:

Listen, nobody's calling you out. Your father is your father calling you out, because it's written. But if this is your behavior, if this is something that you've been doing, then you need to go to the throne of grace. I mean, there's grace for all of the stuff that we're talking about, but you got to believe. You got to believe and you got to repent. You know you got to talk to your father about those things, but he's given it to us and that's why I feel like it's important, because even in the book of Proverbs there's one or the other.

Speaker 1:

You know, I say two all the time, because at the end of the day, it's two. You can't have light without darkness. You know, right, you got blessings and curses, mm-hmm. You got life and death, mm-hmm. And you know, the beautiful piece of the puzzle is that we have the choice. But what choice are we making? And a lot of times we make choices based off of the culture, feelings, the culture Feelings they want to fit in, want to appear to be this person, take on another personality, take on another persona. Right, destiny, if it's real, these are the things that people don't realize, that God reveals to his children. So we're not in the dark when it starts happening. We see it for what it is. It says here, verse 22, the blessings of the Lord makes a person rich and he adds no sorrow with it. And listen, when I read this earlier today, I believe that this is such a true statement. But I don't believe everybody's experiencing this portion, and I don't believe people are experiencing this portion because they don't follow direction or instruction. What does?

Speaker 1:

the commentary is it 22, or is it 22 through something 22.

Speaker 2:

Okay, what does it say about 22? So the commissary says the Lord's blessings enrich and adds no painful efforts to it. A blessing in this instant is a God-given capability to enjoy his goodness in your life. Money and good health are certainly nice things to have, but they are not necessarily blessings in the biblical sense. Many people have such things about, have such things but don't enjoy them and aren't blessed by them. They have no sense of God's peace or satisfaction in their hearts. Thus, even good things can become a source of unhappiness and discontentment. When God pours out his goodness to you, he gives you joy and peace and satisfaction with it, regardless of your particular situation.

Speaker 1:

So, in other words, he adds no sorrow. He adds no sorrow. You know, I wanted to look up the word sorrow. I wanted to look up the word sorrow because I do feel like a lot of people are in this place, right here.

Speaker 1:

Sorrow says it's a feeling of deep distress caused by loss. It's a loss. So if you think of it that way, a lot of times people are experiencing loss because of their mouth. A lot of times people are experiencing loss or disappointment or misfortune because of the things they're choosing, not realizing they're choosing their reality. You know, when you go against the word of God or when you don't follow the instructions of the word of God, you know you're going to. This is going to happen, it's going to. There's no other way around it because at the end of the day, we all have an expiration date. We all will.

Speaker 1:

The Bible says every knee shall bow, every tongue shall confess. So I feel like everybody's going to have to come to this fork in the road where they're going to have to give an account to the way they lived. And you know, when you get in the book of Proverbs, you get a choice. You can either do things a wickedness or you can do things with righteousness, but he adds no sorrow. That you know, and I think that's such an important piece of the puzzle. Did you want to add anything to that?

Speaker 2:

No, it's pretty much self-explanatory. It is, you know.

Speaker 1:

It really is. It says the blessing of the Lord makes us a person rich. The blessings of the Lord, that means nobody can take nothing away. It's not worldly things.

Speaker 2:

No, it's not valuable possessions of the world.

Speaker 1:

No.

Speaker 2:

It's not your car, your clothes.

Speaker 1:

Money, not the labels. Not money.

Speaker 2:

None of that.

Speaker 1:

Not your car, your clothes. Money, not the labels, not money, none of that. Not your job. It's actually intangible things, the things that you can't grab, the things that you can't see.

Speaker 2:

Good character.

Speaker 1:

Yep.

Speaker 2:

Integrity, yes, your heart posture. Yes, god, your heart posture what you do when people aren't watching.

Speaker 1:

Listen to what verse 23 says. Doing wrong is fun for a fool, but living wisely brings pleasure to the sensible. Doing wrong is fun for a fool, but living wisely brings pleasure to the sensible. The fears of the wicked will be fulfilled, the hopes of the godly will be granted. So again, this is his promises man. If we don't get into the word, how do we know this? What does it say in the commentary? Is it 23 and 24?

Speaker 2:

23 through 25.

Speaker 1:

Okay, let me read 25. When the storms of life come, the wicked are whirled away, but the godly have a lasting foundation. Go ahead. What does it say in the commentary?

Speaker 2:

I love commentary. The commentary says that's a telltale sign of a fool. Shameful conduct is pleasure to him. Evil has stopped being evil for the one who rejects God. It moves under the healing of entertainment. But a person of understanding finds pleasure and enjoyment in a life lived wisely. And in the end both the wicked and the righteous will reap the just consequences of the conflicting pleasures they sought.

Speaker 1:

That ain't no word. I don't know what it is, but that's again your dad speaking. You know what I'm saying. We're just the interpreters, we're just. You know when you have this call on you. You know, a lot of people think that it's you Not realizing that it is written. It is written. It says here lazy people irritate their employers like vinegar to the teeth or smoke in the eyes. Fear of the Lord lengthens one's life, but the years of the wicked are cut short. The years of the wicked are cut short. What does it say in the commentary.

Speaker 2:

So in the commissary it only says to see certain verses in Proverbs. Oh really, so it moves forward to verse 27 through 30. Okay, so let me read verse.

Speaker 1:

Well, you know, 26 is self-explanatory, it's right. Well, you know. You know, laziness is a real thing and a lot of people are lazy, they don't want to do anything. And the Bible talks about that too. It's in the book of Proverbs. Get in the book of Proverbs, y'all. It says here it was 27, through what 30?

Speaker 2:

Okay, it says fear.

Speaker 1:

Fear of the Lord lengthens one's life, but the years of the wicked are cut short. Verse 28, the hopes of the godly result in happiness, but the expectations of the wicked come to nothing. I'm going to read that again the hopes of the godly results in happiness, but the expectations of the wicked come to nothing. The way of the Lord is a stronghold to those with integrity, but it destroys the wicked. Verse 30, the godly will never be disturbed, but the wicked will be removed from the land. The wicked will be removed from the land.

Speaker 2:

Let's hear what it says. So the commissary says our graveyards are filled with young people whose lives were cut short as a result of foolish choices.

Speaker 2:

If you don't want to die before your time. Fear the Lord. Take God seriously. Verses 28 through 30. Repent, repeat this thing. The righteous have hope in the midst of trouble, because God is a mighty fortress that can't be shaken. The wicked, however, avail themselves of no protection and can expect nothing but destruction. Can't expect that. That's all you're going to get. You can't look forward to nothing else but destruction.

Speaker 1:

Man, listen man, I got chills. I got chills because you know it's written y'all. It is written. That's your expectations. That's what you will get. That's what you receive. People don't take daddy seriously. Savannah, people don't take this word seriously. They think it's a whole joke. They even think they can wear the crosses and act like they're a believer. Let me tell you something. I mean, I watch this happen. I'm watching it. It's all around us. They don't know the scripture, they don't know the word, they're not reading, but they're representing Jesus, they're representing God. Well, what part? Well, what part? Do you know what it says? You know, when you don't know the word, you're going to be lost.

Speaker 2:

What about? I'm not even sure what this new religion is New age? I have no idea what they call it when they call or refer to themselves as God, you know. I think that that might even be a different topic for another day.

Speaker 1:

But you know what? But they do, though, they do, they do.

Speaker 2:

They do.

Speaker 1:

And I'm going to tell you. I'm going to tell you, I have two ways of looking at that. So one way God is on the inside of us and he made the angels a little lower than him, okay, lower than us.

Speaker 1:

So we're very special to God and the Spirit of the Lord can come upon us. But people, the way they're saying it, the way that they're coming off with it, it's like I'm God, I'm God, I'm God. My father is seated in heaven and Jesus is seated at his right hand, but the Holy Spirit is here to guide and lead, and then we have angels, we have all of the support. Okay, so you know, it's ignorant, it's ignorant he says my children perish for lack of knowledge.

Speaker 2:

They don't know what's written.

Speaker 1:

They won't even open it up. And then you got to think about are you open to receive what's in the word? Because if you even open it up with your mind shut, the Bible says you must first believe that he is who he says he is. In order for you to see anything, it comes down to your belief. It's in the book of Hebrews A person must have the faith to believe. First. You must believe that I exist. We believe he exists because we have had encounters. How did man know that you didn't need to go back to South Carolina? Something's going to happen. Did God show it to him?

Speaker 2:

God showed him, he showed him. You know, warning always comes before destruction.

Speaker 1:

Yes, Always yes.

Speaker 2:

Always. Yes, that was a warning amongst many that I didn't pay attention to, but guess what?

Speaker 1:

I bet you eyes wide open, pay attention to them now. Eyes wide open, right? I mean, I can only man listen. You say don't go right, say less. I ain't going right. You say don't go right, say less.

Speaker 2:

I ain't going right. You say don't go If it's simple, as like today. I was getting out of the car, I was going to leave my phone in the car and you know your subconscious, or whatever, said you better get that phone. Something as simple as that. I picked it up and took it with me. I didn't know if I was going to need it or not, but something in my subconscious told me to pick it up. So things as simple as that, with listening and following instructions, it could all be so simple, it really could all be so simple.

Speaker 1:

It says here in 31 and 32,. It says the mouth of the godly person gives wise advice, but the tongue of that deceased will be cut off. The lips of the godly speak helpful words, but the mouth of the wicked speaks perverse words. So again it's written.

Speaker 2:

Do you think I'm going to be sitting around listening to a fool? I know you're not. I know, but people do. People do and it's sad. That's why the Word of God says my people suffer for lack of knowledge. We got to study this Word to show our self-approval. We do, we truly do you think I want to be listening to somebody that is foolish and just going to lead me into a burning hell.

Speaker 1:

Girl. No, I would be like hey, what are you doing? Why are you listening to them? We're just wrong with you. You know what I'm saying, but you know it's just so sad because you know again, when we get into this book, we see the word of God displayed very loud and clear. There's no way to try to make it something that is not it's written and it doesn't return void.

Speaker 1:

And then the other kicker is that you know your life is going to be a reflection. Your life is a reflection of what choices you make. You know, and so you can only hide behind an image for so long. That's right. Nobody who do you think, will call you out. I don't have to call you out, God gonna do it. He's the one that sees everything.

Speaker 1:

Man, I hope you guys really enjoyed us going through the book of Proverbs. That was just one of the Proverbs, Proverbs 10. Just imagine what else the other Proverbs say If that Proverbs 8 tells about wisdom. So it's important, guys, for you to get into this word and do things God's way. You know, I do want to leave you guys with another word based off of what we just read, but then, Savannah, I want you to give the listeners a word from the devotional for today.

Speaker 1:

It says here Godly men and women of faith are singled out as those who walk with God. For example, the figure Enoch walked faithfully with God and was taken by God directly to his presence at the end of his life. Noah, who was spared the destruction brought about by the flood, was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God. Likewise, Abraham trusted God and walked with him, though he did not know where he was going. In Jesus' day, his disciples literally walked with him as they followed him to fish for people. As the good shepherd, God knows how to best lead his people to green pastures and still waters. His children know his voice and follow his leadership because they know that he guides them in the path of life.

Speaker 1:

It is impossible. It is impossible to walk with God. Apart from Jesus, All people, by virtue of their inborn sin nature, live counter to God's wisdom and are unwilling to follow his leadership. Jesus was the only man who ever followed God's path perfectly. He walked with God each day and each moment of the day. He earned a righteous standing before the Father more than sinners could ever produce on their own. By grace, he gives his righteous standing to his followers who are seen by God as having lived the upright life. God demands this gift of righteousness, then motivates and mobilizes God's people to walk in a manner worthy of their calling, with God as their constant companion through life's journey. When you do it God's way, it hit different. It just hits different. What would you like to lead the listeners with today?

Speaker 2:

Savannah. Humility leads to blessings.

Speaker 1:

Didn't you just say something about, before the fall, destruction, humility.

Speaker 2:

Okay, go ahead, because I was just thinking of something in my head. But go ahead. Humility leads to blessings. Abraham said to Lot let's not quarrel with each other or between our herdsmen, since we are relatives. If you choose the land on the left, then I'll go right, and if you want the land on the right, I'll go left. And that's Genesis 13, 8 through 9.

Speaker 2:

When we choose to walk with God, the way of peace is easy to find. Abraham demonstrates this when, instead of warring with his family, he trusted God for his inheritance. Instead of fighting for the land God had promised, he waited for God's perfect timing. He chose the way of his blessings. We set ourselves up for something far greater. No sacrifice will ever outweigh the glory of remaining close to him. Holding our promises loosely, knowing that God is ultimately in control, frees us to rest and enjoy him. Otherwise, we get fixed on temporal desires and are willing to fight and strive to get them. Let's posture our hearts before the Lord in humble faith. Humility is the precursor for his richest blessings. Father, I want to reflect our nature and demonstrate your patience and kindness. I love to be Christ-like in the way I pursue what you've promised. Forgive me for pushing to make things happen and not trusting your timing. Help me to live above reproach by walking in humility and temperance, as I wait patiently for you.

Speaker 1:

Amen, amen, amen. What a beautiful way to end this broadcast man. It's such a beautiful word. It's the truth. It's the truth. And guess what? The truth was. Set you guys free. I want to leave you guys with this scripture Proverbs 10, verse 9. Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out. These are my words of encouragement on today. I pray that you guys have an amazing week on purpose. Thank you so much for listening. I don't know, Savannah. I think we're on to something. I think we're on to something. I think you guys are paying attention. I think the people are listening and I think it's important for the people to get this word. So again, I want to say thank you to Savannah. I'll see if I can get her back next week, guys, but you guys take care, be safe and peace. I'm ready to go, Ready for more. I'm ready for new, Like a straight up start. You already know I'm ready to flow. I'm ready to move.
