She is currently the associate director of the English Language Center at Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland, USA. Tamara holds a Ph.D. in education from the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom. Her latest book, co-edited with Marnie Reed, is Listening in the Classroom: Teaching Students How to Listen.
