As an active handball player, he was fascinated by the musculoskeletal system from an early age. Sports injuries and their care aroused his interest in sports medicine and ultimately led him to the medical work.
He's Head of Sports Orthopedics of the Division of Sports and Rehabilitation Medicine in Ulm University Hospital, moreover he works as an orthopedic and trauma surgeon at Nova Clinic in Biberach.
He cooperates with several sport teams like @ssvulm @blaustein handball @vohringenhandball @gunzburghandball @teamehingen and @urspringbasketballacademy.
