Best Buds welcomes one of our very favorites this week in product and person. Laura Beohner, Co-Founder and President of the Healing Rose, a woman-led and family-owned company out of Newburyport, Massachusetts, joins guest host, Jim Shainker, this week.
The Healing Rose, which was founded in 2016 after Laura’s dislocated kneecap injury helped her to discover the power of topicals that are infused with a synergy of cannabinoids, herbs, and essential oils. Laura is also the Director and one of the founders of the Massachusetts Hemp Coalition. Laura kicks off Best Buds for the month of March which is both women’s history month and B Corp month.
The Healing Rose employs 3 other local, professional women, and it is part of the mission of the company to pay their employees well and always give back to our community. Their ethics and morals are the fabric of the company. Laura and Jim discuss all things Healing Rose, Laura’s passion for teaching others about topics such as Infusions, Topicals, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Branding & Women in Cannabis, and the company’s MDAR licensing as a processor of hand-crafted body care and oils using certified organic essential oils, carrier oils, butters, waxes, and herbs. Their team makes every product from scratch, from raw ingredients to finished product, in small batches. Their commitment from the beginning was to build the company on organic and natural ingredients.
