Chapter 4: The Negative Superlatives of 2022
Jan 11, 2023 Season 1 Episode 5

Send us a Text Message.

In Chapter 4 we're looking back over some of our less than stellar reading experiences of 2022 by using superlatives such as "Most Likely to Drop Out" and "Least Popular".  We do end the show on a more positive note discussing the books that happily made us cry, so it's not all negative energy.

Julia's Books:

  • The Dead Romantics by Ashley Poston
  • The All Souls trilogy by Deborah Harkness
  • The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova
  • For the Wolf  by Hannah F. Whitten
  • Island Queen by Vanessa Riley

Stephany's Books:

  • The Color Purple by Alice Walker
  • Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmis
  • Mrs. Dalloway  by Virginia Wolfe
  • The Spare Man by Mary Robinette Kowal
  • The Maid by Nita Prose
  • Babel, Or the Necessity of Violence : An Arcane History of the Oxford Translators' Revolution by R. F. Kuang
  • Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby van Pelt
