Mental Health Matters: A Conversation with Eve Gunn
Ms. Eve Gunn is a Mental Health Coordinator with Tarrant City Schools. Ms. Gunn discusses how the social, health, and racial disparities impact her high school students.
Ms. Gunn, who never intended to become a social worker and work in a school setting, shares with us about how she found her way into this career path. She discusses her advocacy for her students, and the passion she has for helping them reach their full potential.
Tarrant City Schools is a school district located in Tarrant, Alabama, which is just outside of downtown Birmingham. The Addiction Prevention Coalition works closely with the teachers and administrators of Tarrant City Schools to provide Mental Health First Aid, general substance use prevention education, and facilitate an INFOCUS group.
