David is the Joint Managing Director of the company and lead Independent Financial Adviser for Applewood Independent. 

He started working in the financial services area for the Prudential in 1980 and spent six very happy years with them. He then moved on to a large insurance company for twelve months acting as a Broker Representative. David missed the direct contact with individual clients, as opposed to dealing with IFAs, and became an Independent Financial Adviser himself in 1987.

David has held senior positions with a number of IFA companies, including director of a discretionary manager and has been a fully qualified Independent Financial Adviser for over 30 years and is a Member of the Personal Finance Society. He has advanced qualifications in taxation with investments, inheritance tax planning, retirement options and pension investment options. He is also a top qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table.
