Speaker 1:

Good afternoon and welcome to everybody. The podcast which shares stories that highlight people in life, that make the world an interesting place, which ultimately ties us all together in unique and wonderful ways. And who am I, you might ask. I would be the headwrapped socialite, weith mom, micro-influencer in the fashion and etiquette world, but on this podcast I will be introducing you to some people who I've had the opportunity to meet along my journey, who have helped enrich me in my life in beautiful ways and who I hope will do the same in yours. And welcome to today's episode.

Speaker 1:

In a recent conversation, a friend's question about my mom made me keenly aware of how much I miss her, especially during the holiday season. I recognize that many others are also missing their loved ones during this time. This season, dr Enid Campos and I shared a beautiful conversation in which we spoke about the gift of love, service and the importance of cherishing our connections. This is a small snippet of that conversation dedicated to the memory of Sr Campos and my mom, tanya Dinkins-Womack. Thank you for traversing this journey with me in gratitude and blessings. The headwrapped socialite I would like to tell you that I remember coming here and your mom making the kids mac and cheese. I remember us sitting at the table, going on your patio there and watching the kids play and running the woods. I also remember your dad and how he put the corn stalks outside your house, the way your parents moved.

Speaker 2:

I remember when I dropped off Fernando in the school and I needed to talk to you to arrange something for the kids, I was waiting for you because you were talking with your mom. You always talk with your mom in the morning and say, oh my gosh, I feel connected because I talk with my mom all the time and you were talking with your mom. I didn't know at the time your mom, but because we were talking always and your mom was in the conversation, we were very close to your mom. I was very close to my mom the only daughter and then when I met her at the Nova's graduation, I felt like I knew her for a long time and we were dancing. I was dancing with your mom. It was like it was so touched by that that she wanted to dance with me, even though she didn't know me well.

Speaker 1:

But she knew you because of your son and your spirit and my mom always had that gift of discernment and it's like you got a good one in that E. You got a good one in that E and I do remember those conversations because I call people who are close to my heart and give you a nickname, and it has always been E to me and my mom would always ask how's E? I am grateful and thankful that I've met you in my journey and I just thank you for sharing story truly E with all of us.

Speaker 2:

Thank you for the opportunity to open it up and to talk about it. And we are human beings and we do a lot of mistakes, but we can learn from that and do better. A little bit better, amen, that's it. And fortunately there are so many ways we can serve. We can do better things For sure. With a little simple word, simple phrase you can tell to someone, you can make this change.

Speaker 2:

I can tell you that even with a positive word, but even though with a bad word, with a very negative word, you can impact in somewhere else. We can not do that. You have to be careful. We have to be careful what we're going to say to people. True, we have to be careful with positive vibrations and be grateful everywhere.
