Speaker 1:

Hey, deva, hey, listen, as we are talking about brand, a lot of you are saying, okay, I have to figure out my brand. What does that look like on the outside? I know how I feel. I know how I kind of dress. I know the things that some of the things that I like and some of the things that I don't like. But I really want to put myself together in the next 30 days so that people will look at me and like who's that lady? Who's that lady? Right, sexy lady, yeah, right. So listen, here's not the first thing that you can do. If you are a woman that does not care about hair, okay. If you don't care about hair and you, like I can't stand on my hair, you're the ponytail girl. All you do is wear your hair in a ponytail all the time. I don't care if you're natural or you have a perm or whatever it is. Stop wearing the ponytails, okay, stop wearing them all the time. Get you a few sister girls. If you don't want to do hair, get you a few sister girls, sister girls. Y'all know what I'm talking about Wigs, and the funniest thing is that we are all into wigs.

Speaker 1:

Now. I remember when my mama used to wear wigs and she had them lined up and she had hair, beautiful hair and I used to be like why you wearing wigs, mom, I'm never going to wear wigs. And now they're the next best thing to slice bread, okay, and you have what they call the lazy hair day. You can throw on a wig and be like honey. You feel like a different person. You have renamed yourself, okay, you have renamed yourself. So cry your ears out as you sing.

Speaker 1:

Don't stop slicking your hair back, number one, just tearing up your edges and all the things and breaking your hair off. So stop doing that. Get you a couple of sister girls, a different style, and you can wear a different one every day if you feel like it. Who cares? People know that they're wigs. Now, if we've gotten past the pretending that it's really out here, they know it ain't out here, so we could care less.

Speaker 1:

So wear what you want to wear, but have it nice. That's the first thing that you can do. The second thing that you can do is define your style. Are you a jeans and t-shirt girl? Okay, then make sure your jeans are good and stylish to your body type. Okay, make sure that they're stylish to your body type. Just because skinny jeans are in, don't mean that you should be wearing skinny jeans. Just because flared legs are in doesn't mean that you should be wearing them.

Speaker 1:

We have the habit and I had to get used to this. I can't stand trying on clothes. I really, really hate it, but I had to get to a point and say, mary, you just can be like, ooh, these are my size and I'm going to buy them because it may not look well with you. I like, really. I like jeans that come past my ankle, even if they slim, because I'm 5'6", so anything really like to the ankle, I feel high water-ish. Okay, I can do capris that's a capri, but a jean like that, no. I can do leggings like that, but not jeans. That's me, that's my style.

Speaker 1:

So I have to try on jeans and I have to look at myself in the mirror. I'm a little hippie, so I got to make sure that they're there. I got a little gut going on right now, temporarily just wait and see, and so I have to make sure that everything fits. So later you have to try on your clothes and you have to, when it comes to like shirts and t-shirts, make sure that they are. You have to try them on and make sure they fit you Right. I'm busty, so some shirts I can't wear because of that. So you just have to make sure that you try on your clothes right. You have to make sure that you try on your clothes. That's the second thing that you have to do, okay, and the third thing that you need to change within the next 30 days that people make you say, hmm, I need you to change your walk. I know you're going to be like.

Speaker 1:

What do you mean, mary, when you walk and you are confident and you know who you are? It's you people. You've seen them when they step out and they walk and you can tell they're owning themselves. They're owning their own right. You walk in the room. You've been in the room and somebody walking the room and it's like hello world, I am here. Right, that's that confidence. That is something that clothes can't buy. It doesn't matter what you put on, it doesn't matter how much it costs.

Speaker 1:

If you are not confident in being who you are, it's going to show up in your walk, in the way that you sit. It is watch yourself, sit in a mirror, walk past the mirror and watch the difference. You know how it feel when you know you look good. You know that. You know. Don't nobody have to tell you your walk is different. But your walk should be like that every day, because if you are wearing your brand and that confidence comes with wearing your brand you're going to walk and strut like that every day and everywhere you go. So those are the three things I want you to work on within the next 30 days to get your life and your brand together and watch people say who's that? Lady? Y'all, I love you. Ain't nothing you can do about it. Be blessed, live on purpose.

Speaker 1:

And last one All right, divas, what an episode. Did I hit you in the head with one of those bricks. Did you go out? Did you have the ducking cover? I know you went running around the house checking for cameras, looking under the bed, looking out the window to see if I was watching, because I was all in your business. I was on your street and in your lane. It's okay, though. It lets you know that you're not alone. I hope that something that you heard resonated with you and, as a result, you are starting to reposition your mind so you can have the life that you want to live. Now.
